The image of Lord Coe pointing upwards on this months issue of the magazine, for me suggests Runnersworld are promoting the Tories at next weeks election.
Its a clever image, but is it too cynical to be fallen for ? or intended to be subliminal ?
Maybe they pulled the catwalk model piccie at the last minute, as soon as the election was called, and replaced it with a chap who is something to do with the Tories. RW is of course a top source of political analysis and recommendations.
More interesting...on the back cover there is a virgin credit card and you won't believe who it belongs to....Richard Branson himself, now that is careless letting someone take a photo of it and stick it on the back of a top political read like RW.
I'm off on a little spending spree thanks to the beardy one
I'd prefer to see David Mellor in his Chelsea football shirt...a fine figure of a man if ever I saw one!
Still at least seeing good old Seb on the cover makes a change from some vacuous model Photoshopped to within an inch of his/her life.....the usual junk that adorns the cover of a one great magazine.
Erm... I think you might be reading too much into it. I think Lord Coe MAY be involved in something called the "Olympic Games" and they were probably wanting to be slightly topical as there is this weird thing coming up called a "General Election". Lord Coe used to be a professional jogger, did you know?
Lord Coe is not part of the Tory party. He cannot have any political interference while he is incharge of London 2012. A picture of him at the 84 Olympics is more of him as a runner than him being a Tory.
Lord Coe is a Conservative Peer and as one of the Lords Temporal he is still eligible to vote in the House of Lords.
His appearance in RW is clearly a plot by anarchists stir up republican dissent in order to bring down the monarchy... or so my spirt guide Tonto tells me
More to do with his former running than his Torying I reckon. I suspect there are a good few tories on RW staff -the bleeders get everywhere! As I am now older I only get a mild twitch in my "thump muscle" when I smell them, thankfully.

Or maybe it a top class ex-athlete who is in charge of arranging the next Olympics?
Slightly more relevant than the usual 'off the catwalk' models.

No, it's a subliminal signal for us all to increase our non-running cardiovascular activities (how many mistresses?).
And on that note I wish you all a good night....
It is interesting that the Seb Coe cover has been pushed out to subscribers whether they want it or not.
Casual buyers have the choice to buy it with Lord Coe or not.
Its my guess the Runnersworld owners/editor are true blue tories. In an election "every little helps"
he is incharge of London 2012. A picture of him at the 84 Olympics is more of him as
a runner than him being a Tory.

He's on the front cover, because he's leading our organisation of the Olympics.
Seemples!
Now if RW did a front cover of Boris Johnson running.
