you collecting your pack on the day or hoping the postie does not screw up?
im thinking i may not pb sunday. forgot theres no chip time so depencs how long it takes to get over the start line. may just have to save something for manchester the week after instead. im tempted to start at the back of the pen there, but not cross the start till theres clear space
Hehehehe......I put it to him that he was Bugsy you know, & told him I thought the things he said to me as Bugsy were out of order (being nice to me as Ron & nasty as Bugsy) but he just ignored me. If he was innocent, he'd have defended himself. He was DEF Bugsy, & all the others.
Have fun people. Try & stay to see the last people in, as there were some Down's Syndrome kids last year who were quite slow, but very chuffed with their medal!
Typical - clear blue sky here in Blackpool, and sunny !!! If I wanted it any other day, you can guarantee it'd be pouring down. Oh, well, Good Luck, everyone. x
Massive "Thank You" to the young lady who shouted "you've dropped your keys" I didn't know it was me who had dropped them, but turned around anyhow and to the young man who picked them up and handed them back to me,these 2 people saved me from having a nightmare of a day instead of a brilliant day.
I like this race, as it's the only time I can beat hundreds of people!
Pleasure Beach was on top form too. No queues & all rides open. Took Bats on Valhalla & he didn't believe my warning on here from the other day....."have you any idea how wet you are going to get on Valhalla"!! He dripped for the next 2 hours, & made little puddles wherever he stood....hehehehe....
Had a great race and the atmosphere was good also. Got close to a pb in 47:25, only to find out later that my name and time wasn't included in the results. I have a medal and my number was wrote down at the end of the funnel. Only one small gripe though about an overall goo race. No one to email either.

I'll collect number on day.
If you start around the half way point you shouldn't be too long crossing the start line.
Everyone might do what you do next Sun, & there will be 20,000 people all refusing to cross the start line.....lol......
this is a good race and no trouble what so ever
watch out for poorly feet on sunday she is part of the coast to coast run that starts at the tower
Dinda....super slueth....
Wish the Pleasure Beach was open all evening. I have yet to go on the Big One in the dark.

My first ever 10k run
Aiming to finish inside an hour and did 55:06
Loved it - apart from being overtaken by a hotdog at around 8.5k
See you all next year!!
Me & the Mrs....Try emailing Andrew Brown to get yourself in the results. I've always found him helpful. Andrew.Brown@beaverbrooks.co.uk
Mark, being overtaken by a hotdog is indeed embarrassing. I got overtaken by a Scooby Doo & a Lucozade bottle last year.....
Best race ever!! Was my 10th Blackpool 10k. Was really hard and was my deciding race, to give up running or not?
NOT!
Still got the bug and getting fitter with every run now!
See you all next year! xxx
