Deca, Triple, Double, Single IM

it looks as if Enduroman has sorted out a new venue for the Deca in 2011 after abandoning plans for this year as the course was thought to be too tough - the new venue is in Hampshire and there will also be a concurrent Triple, Double and Single IM on the final 3 days of the Deca.

How the fuck do you train for 4 IM's.
This is doing my head in, I'm determined to do an IM and finding the time for that is going to be hard enough.

And there was me thinking that running a marathon was tough.

I don't think Mon has done a triple but she was down for the Deca - which became a Penta and then didn't become anything - this year

Madlot - tis done annually, one year it's an IM per day the next all the swim then all the bike then all the run, done in Mexico. There's also, I think a French chap who's done double Decas too, now that is madness

FB/Barley - would love to give it a go but finances mean it's just not possible sadly

Yes, it was held every year . Not sure it was held last year but a few more independent multi Ironman events take place around the world including the Double/Triple in Virgina.

The most insane thing about the Deca it is that the bike and run laps were about 1.5 mile each. Imagine doing 800 laps of a bike loop!

I think that anyone looking closely into a course route must be considering it...

so if we all donate £20 to symes we will only need 50 people to sign up to make his dream a possibility

I'll consider popping along to support but I'm not stupid enough to think about competing.

It's only 10 miles away and I cycled around that area enough last year to know where all the pubs are.
