I'm enjoying the program about swimming the Firth, but once again, same as with the Robson series, no mention of safety, not swimming alone etc etc. The Firth prog not so bad, but that blinking Alice woman's (she bugs me on Coast too for no real reason!) made no mention of asking landowner permission, safety in numbers etc etc. Made it seem like it was okay to just jump into any old stretch of water. Added to which, how slowly does she swim? And why didn't the wild swimming man swim further in the cave - wimp! (not that I would do that - haha!)
I agree. They were just rabbiting on about a disclaimer removing liability in the case of death of the swimmer. There is nothing you can sign that removes liability in the case of death. If they are proven negligent this is worth sod all.
