good stuff! agree with nichola....hopefully not too hilly! the 3d map on the race website is pretty cool! but can't quite tell what the elevation is like...
I'm doing this, thought it's only right as it's on my doorstep and I train near the route. Sorry to say to those that don't want hills but it is going to be hilly especially the locally notorious Sticking Hill...
I will be doing it. Aim is 1hr 25ish as that is current pace i am in but would be happy to break 1hr 30 barrier. First real tester for white peak marathon in May.
i'm doing this one too, it will be my 4th half and i'd hope for sub 1:50 but hearing of the hills i'm now not sure. As Runningowl will tell you from Saturdays parkrun... i fade away on hills. Something to do with me being a Donny lad.

what are you guys & girls looking for time for the SYM?
yeah true..only lived here since december 09...hated the hills at first, but now have come to love them! i'll take stiff legs for awesome views!
as its so close to london, and ill be in 40+ mileage weeks, i'll not be hoping for a pb...but still hope to get under 1:45.
what about you?
Good luck to you all taking part in the south yorkshire marathon and london x x
It isn't hilly, you have to do Sticking Hill twice but it is over in no time.
We ran the course the other day to recce the course and i think there could be some fast times.
Don't take too much notice of the race profile it looks a lot worse than it is.
I hope everybody had a good run.
Results are on www.barnsleyac.co.uk
