So I'm new, happy to read but identifying the best thread to start with is challenging.... anyone remember the best beginners thread to start on? That way I can limit you excellent people from answering all the questions you've already answered
Thanks!

It all depends on what aims you've got gastank. Are you planning a race and how far and when? And what your strengths and weaknesses are. Crap swimmers is pretty good if thats where you want help.
I was going to suggest training for a shorter tri but it seems like you've got there already.
Just avoid to sex in angel delight thread (for now)!
Might start with the swimming one, probably the one I haven't done in the longest time and gonna work through the shorter tri thread, thanks for the help!
Doing Olympic hopefully in Sept, then would like to consider doing an iron distance after that (then i'll have my first tri and mara done) and will have a better idea of what's possible
I'll look for the swimming thread, much appreciated
Capt Jack, LOL interesting viewpoint!! But Iight look at what's in 2013, since you only turn 40 once and we're getting married next year, so I could IronHolgs book as a guide
I'm pretty determined once I set my mind on something... Any suggestions of which one to even consider?
Great that sounds really nice, quiet, relaxing...
Yes, well would you mind if I pop off for a day with the lads and do an ironman?!?
I might need to work on that one me thinks!!!!
can you imagine the reaction if I asked to pop of for the day with the girls.... ?!? Packing the angel delight wouldn't be a problem!! Think she'd drown me in it...
Oh dear what would be letting myself in for?!? I think this is getting more challenging by the minute but I do like a challenge!

Lanza 2013 thread
Hi I'm new any advice?
Sure do an ironman...
God drinking with u lot must be dangerous... Ever managed to get someone to sign up who didn't realise until after the event?
Seriously though thanks for the warm welcome... I guess I'll have a sneaky peak at the Lanza thread
What's quite funny is she's on the other sofa looking at wedding venues!!!
Far too much money for winter so you'll need a winter hack, an MTB and a single speed/fixie as well.
And a turbo.
Does anyone ACTUALLY have this much kit BTW?
I recently bought a F95 (hasn't arrived yet) as my first bike... Then when I get "better" that can be winter bike....
