Can i just warn you all I will be taking my tent to Outlaw.........this new tent has had 3 outings......the first was to Enduroman last year where we had torrential rain and storms.........the second to IMW where the tail end of a hurricane tried to take it out and it was extremly wet............and then last week back at enduroman when we put it up in horrendous rain which meant we were pitching on a lake almost and we had to bail out the inside of the tent........
so as I am camping at outlaw i suggest everyone takes all the winter wet weather gear in preperation..........
apologise in advance

.... I'll buy you a new tent?????
Seren!! How could you!!
I am prepared for the worst Seren. I even bought some of those hand and feet warmer things to go in my shoes and gloves for when I get out of the water and on to the bike The guy in the shop was quite amused until G said I was doing an IM then he was in awe! lol
Well if things come in 3's we should be ok then?
Fingers crossed!
I'm looking to acclimatise tomorrow with a standard triathlon in forecasted gales and driving rain. I've been down to the beach this morning and the breaking surf is already looking like fun .
Seron.....get a room...
well if it's coming in 3's - I've been at 3 open water tris this year - 2 as an official, one as a competitor (Windsor this Sunday)
all 3 have turned into duathlons - 1st was water was too cold; 2nd was sea was too rough; and now Windsor have pulled the swim due to too much water (flow is too strong and lots of debris)
so you lot should be fine at Outlaw!
posh eh! differnet wellies for different occasions eh?
I will pack my waterproof socks - it has never once rained when I have remembered to take them with me in all the years I've had them!!
I'm working on the basis that things come in 3s........the last 2 years at Outlaw have been dry and ideal for racing so am fully expecting the same to occur this year
Lee....and canoe....
I'm with Jaffa. Last 2 years at Outlaw has been fab weather.
"Windsor have pulled the swim due to too much water..."
Is it also the wrong kind of water? Too WET, maybe?
I shall be slumming it in a camper van! All those stories about camping at IMW was enough to put me off camping! Especially in England!
I've been keeping my eye on the forecast and for the last week it's been "thunder storms and showers, 16 degrees" but the latest is " cloudy and 20 degrees".
So that's that sorted.
I think I took most of the nottinham sun on my shoulders and arms last weekend... I think it has run out now. Sorry guys
Sern, I love you but I wont miss you if you camping in Cornwall instead
errrm - it's also full of floating debris and shall we say, faecal matter, from field wash offs so you could say, yes, wrong kind of water!
I wasn't there though
Outlaw weather was fab the last 2 years!, anyway the hose pipe ban has been lifted in Nottinghamshire so now we might get to see that orange ball in the sky........soon! preferably on the 1st of July please
I will be more than a little pleased with some good weather
so will the supporters
Son has just reminded me that we had another outing last year in the tent.........To the lakeland 50 in July...........that was really hot............so if we follow last years pattern
1st outing torrential rain
2nd outing heatwave......
So i change my predictions and it will be a heatwave
