Did my first ever early morning run before work today. Nearly bailed as couldnt be bothered to get out of bed an hour earlier, but forced myself. Felt ok after a cup of coffee
30 minutes of intervals done & wont have to cram that in this evening now

At the risk of having things thrown at me, I'm pretty much 99% set on IM Switzerland come July '13. As much as I'd ike a trip up North I'm planning to mix the event with a weeks holiday to meet up with familiy and pals living an ex-pat life....

Yep - I can just see it now - a group of blokes sat on a street corner, supping beer out of tinnies, screaming at passing cyclists at 9:00 on a Sunday morning. Shouldn't look out of place in the slightest in Bolton
Just been out on the bike for an hour. For the first time since falling off last year, I felt confident. Can't tell you what a wondeful feeling that is!

Spoons i think it was SD (the current list controller) who might have added you i'll check my records, but I suspect you were asked to take a step back if you didn't want to be added and you didn't noticably and therefore you had thrown your hat in the ring...
quite simple really... did you note how long the list is? do you think everyone on that list is "willing"?!? Is being willing even relevant? in you case you weren't NOT willing and you didn't say no, that therefore = a YES

Gastank - its not that hours and hours of training, the complete lack of a social life, the expense, the entrance fees, the pain, the blisters, the endless massages, the copious amount if lycra needed - I can cope with all that, easily. I'm just not sure I can go through waxing my legs three times in one year!!

I think press-ganged would be a better description where Gastank in involved!!
I'd say it's more along the lines of being asked, "Do you think my hanky smells of chloroform?", then coming round and finding yourself on a list
