I just work better when i just have to look at the fridge and go right running for 45 mins away we go

Having a weekend break with mrs RBM at London and Canterbury apart from joining my rock hard 67 year old uncle for his daily 7am swim at Parliment Hill (unheated) Lido my Unc swims this 365 days of the year even when they hsve to crack the ice
Apart from that i have packed no training kit just some quality family time with the missus and youngest daughter who is at Kent Uni

Actually managed 9 k before foot told me off. Anyone know how Coughie got on in snowdonia?
He went past stanners at the quarry which is about 3 miles to go and Stanners did around 3:40 IIRC
Sock stuffed with Beachy Head Marathon and a shed load of blood from the lack of skin on my heel at the end

Ouch HC - I read about Dean Karnazes version of the first time he did the Western States Endurance run where they sliced open the blisters got rid of the fluid and filled up the hole with super glue and taped it with duck tape and told him to get on with it - hard core those peeps

Well done Kate. I was thinking about the people who do the triple and wondered how on earth someone could do Beachy and Snowdon back to back.

Very slow 6km today just to run out and see if my bits were in working order after Thursday and they were

1 hr easy ride today to spin the legs out from yesterday's club bike.
Yesterday was exciting too. Going down a narrow lane in drizzle we saw an oncoming 4x4. Both the leader and myself found our brakes not too good trying to stop, so I put some more effort in to the levers. Found myself going sideways down with the road still upright, back wheel about to overtake the front.
Let go of both brakes and squeezed between the ride leader and the 4x4 in front before finally coming to a stop! Socks and bibs fully stuffed with S*%T after that!
By all accounts it looked quite spectacular. I'd already picked out a nice hedge!

Blimey Cat. Hedge sounds a much softer landing than a 4x4 but well held regardless.

skipping my swimming session though because I hurt my shoulder yesterday - I guess it was trying to do press ups that did it

I had a little trip to Venice this weekend and flew the flag for the Pirates at the marathon there. ( all that water, it would have been rude not too
) the Sock was well and truly stuffed in 4hr 2mins. Still missed the elusive GFA though

Track last night, 4 x 1 mile repeats, and a run this morning. Spin tonight and trying to talk myself into the pool. Just need to try and stop eating as well. Is Venice marathon worth a go Postie?
