top race leppy race under very sad circumstances.
excellent to see you wore a costume. i've often wondered why costumes are completely absent from IM events. what was the initial reaction from the crowd when you exited T2.
Oh Lep. Well done. Don't know what else to say.
:'o)

I had though about all aspects of the Ironman apart fromthe crowd reaction to the costume!!
As they said 'SUPER!!'. The initial reaction was so suprising I almost jumped back into transition.

Indeed we were . . . .
And just to show I maintained the pirate tradition at IM Austria . . .
So explain this to me... you come out of the water and run into T1... when you get out of your wetsuit... as does everyone else... and whilst everyone else is getting their suncreme and bike shoes on ... you put on your yellow body paint and wings....
I would have loved to have seen some of the faces in T1.
Well done Lep. Great report and super photos!
Really good to see you back.
Nam thanks for the support at the FLM - we got around and were on the telly )
ist nicht Fee, ist Smetterling (translation 'I'm not a fairy - I'm a buttlerlfy!')
actually it was T2 where I put on the bodypaint and wings, , , , and got a thumbs up from a race referee and a round of applause from the T2 helpers and other compeditors . . .
Fantastic Lep - I remember you from NY2005
Well Done
Well done.
well done fin

Top effort natnif - congrats on the IM result!
Very surprised to see you in yellow paint though - I thought you always did green?
Well done natnif.-
Please don't tell them you changed your racing colours to be more piratey.- They'll expect me to have yellow hair next....;-)
I changed from green to yellow when I changed charities . . . .
I now support St Thomas's Lupus Trust - colour yellow symbol butterfly . . . .
(But it does make me look more pirately )
