Oh dear - painty water and children are a dangerous combination!. I reckon all mothers are genetically programmed to nag, worry etc. I can say that, 'cos I'm not one!
Actually, on that note - I can highly recommend the book that's hovering around the charts at the moment called 'I don't know how she does it' - about juggling career and motherhood - very funny. I get through at least 1 paperback a week as a sad daily commuter.......
enjoying the freedom of not being in work and the guys have turned up to repave the front of the house - was going to run but need to stay in on coffee making duties copyright 'The Book of Running Excuses' chap 2, p 47)
I've been looking at that book, Katy - I used to read the columns in the Telegraph and found them very funny but not so close to home that they made me squirm.
Enjoy your meetings, and don't forget to call the grown-ups "Mr Smith" and "Ms Jones" unless they invite you to use their first names.
Do I assume that Friday is the prelude to the weekend for you, WW?
Last time I saw you, Tulips, you'd just run a marathon. You're bound to look, er, different on Wednesday.
I got my Actionphotos pics through yesterday. They are AWFUL. The nice sunny day looks overcast and dull, and although I can't blame the camera for my pained expression and dishevelled hair I am sure I did not have mottled purple skin and blue lips. I look like I'm in the advanced stages of rigor mortis.
I'll have the certificate, though, to prove that my position in the race improved by over 10,000 places from the previous year.
I split with my Fiancee (my decision - so am much happier now), got promoted at work, living in Leamington Spa temporarily. Been seeing a lovely young lady for the past 4 months and it's going very very very very well.
Love to come to Leeds but I doubt that my boss would take too kindly to me disappearing on a drinking session the day he gets back from a 2 week holiday... maybe next time...
Just got my orthotics back after a 7.5week wait... now in a quandary as to whether to wear them for the marathon or not after having done my training without them... far too mch for me to think about at the mo so will do my ostrich impression and not think!
Not sure about Picasso, Saxplayer, but my smallest has a great future as a portrait painter. She did a picture of me in which I have no glasses, very long eyelashes, and Liz Hurley lips. I have it on my surgery door.

Of to do some work, oh sorry that should read, of to read the thread back )
to be such a nightmare to organise that Tulips has arranged a mini-one
Ra Ra Ra Tulips!
Everyones invited. Slug and lettuce on Park Row Wednesday night.
You'll recognise me. I'll be the drunk slightly scuffy gingerhaired girl who my grandma would say looks like I've dragged through a hedge backwards.
I'll brush my hair I promise
honest
Your messages are very witty. What are you smoking. Do you get it at reduced rate being a medic?

V-rap, you certainly raise a smile or two!
Things couldn't be better mate. And you?
Pix - when you get back - I'd stick to the 10% rule and go 10 miles.
V-Rap - have you just ruined the future of a new Picasso or have they just ruined the furniture?
