My daughter and boyfriend are happy to help out for a few hours.
They are currently writing the marshal’s manual which has details of everything we will need to know over the event weekend.
A few answers to my questions below:
Timings for Sunday – two options;
All the team could come to the National Water Sports Centre and check in with our volunteer coordinator at 05:45 before heading into position at 06:00
or we could collect all the equipment on the Saturday and meet in position on the Sunday.
The feed station will have a van dropped into position on the Saturday evening, these keys will then be given to me (either Sat evening / Sun morning) so we can set up the station on the Sunday morning.
The van will consist of a gazebo, tables plus all your product incl. 600 High 5 bottles made up ready to go.
We will be clear of your station by 15:00 at the latest, the last cyclist will be tailed by a motorbike who will give you the go ahead to pack down the station.
Decoration – Obviously being in the UK we are limited to what we can do (definitely no painting on the roads L). No problems with us making up your own banners and having a bit of music if that is something we can sort?
Two bits of information I need from us:
1. Camping you all have this sorted or would we like this arranging. If so please let me know how many pitches etc you need.
2. Transport to get into position – will you be able to get your team out into position, your station has a gravel area which cars can be parked on. We do have limited means of getting people into position but it would be great if you are able to make your own way – just let me know.

I'm not put off by the early start.
(okay, I'm fretting about it, but not put off).
I'm planning on camping on Saturday night and I read somewhere that booking isn't required, just turn up but I might have got that wrong. I'll try and get my OH along to help out too.
Ummm, camping - spose I need to sort something out. Although if it's only for one night I will probably sleep in the car (as I did at Bala). There has to be advantages to be a midget
