Ok so what the difference between a vol au vent and a hor's douvere or what ever there called???
Well, yer hors d'oeuvre is a generic term for nibbles, whereas a vol au vent is one of them pastry cases with a filling of some sort. Frequently prawns- notorious for food poisoning if defrosted incorrectly or left out for too long.
