I wore my JW vest last Sat at the South Downs mara (did the relay with a team of newbie runners from work who loved it - will have to get them doing the JW next year.....) and a man ran past and said 'oh a chariots of fire quote' and quoted the line before to me 'so where does the power come from, to see the race through to the finish, it comes from within' so then I explained all about the JW and it apparently being a well used phrase by Mr JW and it was a very nice moment.
And then he zoomed off into the distance. Uphill.

jenny from cobra spoke to me last week she says she thouight that she had defered her place from last year but wasn't sure? i said that I would be contacting you this weekend and id ask for her.
also can I inform all the brilliant jw people that the Mark Perry memorial run (5kish) takes place on sun 14th August, full info on the COBRA website.
cant think of a better way to celebrate the lives (tragically cut short) of 2 fantastic people who lived life to the full

thanks mr smith for your assistance Mark was desperste to complete the GUCR and he would have been mightly impressed with your performances.
I have his younger brother Dan as a running partner now whos just taking on his first marathon (notts).
funny how things turn out he was enquiring about longer runs and they always start the same "you wont catch me running that far" watch this space

this has only gone out to the ultra runners at the moment as i don't have the mailing list done for the relay yet
