Totally agree, especially as Joddly's an IMWer so double 'ard
But if anyone does need a cyclist or possible a runner for a relay group though my mate's still interested.
... and chips. And is close enough to pirate HQ to walk to or get not-rip-off taxis for. We don't want too many people having to be sensible because of driving.

A couple of years ago I drove home through the night after Bala (which is only a half ironman) and I had a 6 or 7 hour journey and how I didn't kill myself of anyone else I don't know - I shudder now to think of it
I ended up pulling over and paying stupid prices for a service station bed for a couple of hours (couldn't sleep in the car!!) just so that I could go back on the roads in safety...
Personally I had no issues with legs etc the next day at work despite being a bit tired - but then that was only half the distance.........

With corporate and charity entries for which I understand they hold some back I expect only 100-150 individual entries left, but with the price going up I expect few more will enter this side of Christmas.
Perhaps a bit more swim biff than the last two years given the extra congestion at the start?

I think there were about 770 started in 2010 and 550 in 2011. To be honest in the middle one didn't really feel any different from the other.
There wasn't a huge amount of biff either year - maybe that was different if you were at the pointy end

I am sure my hands are too little for my body. Now if I could have a hand transplant with Pat Jennings I am confident I would be out of the water in under the hour.

My average swim technique plus those hands = speed. I say this because if I do fist drills I drown, so it is all about the hands!

Seconded although chances are I won't know if I can jion you till the actual day I'm afraid.Dave with circumstances that would be very boring to go into outside of tri stuff I won't know if able to play until the last minute. If I can I will and if not your kidneys will be shared the punishment.
