Artem looked a bit odd in Wednesday's ITT, asleep with his eyes open maybe? I'm surprised Holly is looking forward to the jive, I thought she'd struggle with it.
Jason's rumba doesn't look as bad as I thought it would, hopefully he can keep his face under control.
I'm most looking forward to Chelsee and Pasha's Charleston, but for the love of God please give her a good sports bra for it!
I agree - Artem looked knackered! Maybe he has the same thing Natalie does - don't they usually all start getting Strictly Flu about now? Brucie gets a week off for it most years!
So - Jennifer Grey (who doesn't actually look like Jennifer Grey any more, which is a bit weird...) - good choice of judge or not? To be honest I'd rather they got someone like Ian Waite in for the week, who could do a good job of filling in for Len (who is usually the only person to score on things like heel leads and technical things that the rest of us miss).
Really looking forward to.... Holly, Jason and Chelseee. Hope Lulu falls over (and I totally agree about her caps - even my 7 year old commented that she looks stupid ha ha).
Anton, James and Flavia were on Chris Evans' show this morning - quite a hoot. Sounds like James is actually just having a laugh, rather than being totally up himself.
Liked the look of Russell's Paso on ITT last night - if he pulls it off it may be just the right blend of technical skill and the campness that I'm now accepting will be part of everything he does.
There's so many peeps they could get in who'd go down well. Karen Hardy's on the red button - what a waste of a former winner (and former world champion). Ian Waite also, or any of the other people who've been cut like Darren and Lilia.
One of the reasons, or so I understand that Ian, Karen, Camilla etc aren't judges is that they are too 'friendly, with the competing pros and therefore wouldn't be seen to give an unbiased opinion. Not sure I believe that but there you go!
Little Nemo, you've never watched Dirty Dancing??????
No
I don't actually like much dancing and/or singing in films, in fact I'm allergic to musicals. But for some odd reason I loved Strictly Ballroom and then discovered I loved SCD half-way through Series 2.

Hmm and yet they allowed Alesha to judge Matthew Cutler and partner having danced with him the previous year. I share your doubt!
TBH I'm surprised no-one's let rip at Alesha when she criticises the professional's choreography or whatever. I know her comments are often quite generic but I can remember a couple where if I was the professional I'd have been thinking "...and you know more about this than me?"
I've never watched Dirty Dancing either...I did see Jennifer Grey on Breakfast TV this morning and they showed clips of her in DWTS and she looked very good. It seems odd though to have two ex winners judging, so half the panel are not pros in the dancing world... they should have brought Arlene back...that would have been fun!!
Just watched Darcy's jive, I hadn't seen it before, amazing!
Right I'm off to the supermarket to get in supplies. I'll need copious amounts of alcohol to get through Jason's rumba and I only have a bottle of manky whisky and some dubious looking blackberry liqueur. Hope he's on relatively late as it'll feel a bit odd getting pished at 6.30!
"I carried a watermelon" is, for me, the absolute epitome of putting your foot in it/social awkwardness/embarrassment and squandered opportunity - when Baby finally has the chance to talk to the lush hunk that was Patrick Swayze, rather than being cool, all she manages to blurt out is, "I carried a watermelon". It is the exactly the kind of thing I do/would do

I don't really have much idea of who Jennifer Grey is. I've never watched Dirty Dancing or DWTS so I'm blissfully unaware.
Re. Lulu and her caps - I reckon we never see her real hair. It's either covered by a cap during training or by a wig on live shows

looking forward to Jason's Rumba face, and hopefully the exit of lulu
Evening
Mr S has just gone to pick up the curry
I hate the Rumba...hardly anyone can do it well
I've got vodka now so I'm safe from jason's rumba faces!
<lobs Creme de Mure Fraggle's way>
How can you not have seen Dirty Dancing?
So, "I carried a watermelon" will mean nothing to you?
How much surgery has Jennifer Grey had?!
Was that a bit rubbish? I never really get the samba so I'm not sure...
Obviously not!
