Avenue de Cagny, Pirbright Village Green, near Brookwood, Woking, Surrey. Pub postcode above is 50 yards from car park outside village hall, opposite cricket green. It's all very open, Blacknyella should be visible
I could be tempted if the trains heading out of London are playing nicely on Sunday. Any idea where the nearest station is? (Can't get on Google right now)
Brookwood Station is 10 mins cycle away. Out of the station, left on the main road towards Pirbright Barracks, left under the railway bridge, straight on for half a mile, village green on the left. Peasy.
As it goes, myself and the Spaz are supposed to be doing the Tanners so I would not have been able to attend anyway. Don't know if it crosses any roads of the route but I will look out for a bunch of cyclists looking like they are having fun!
With a rumour of a possible pirate trip to Lanza next year I am keen to get my bike training started early
Route is (ish) Pirbright, St Johns, Horsell, Chobham, West End, Frimley, Mytchett ranges, Ash, Tongham, Seale, Puttenham, over a lump, then Normandy, Merrist Wood, Pirbright and maybe another loop of the Mytchett ranges and the two ludicrous downhills throught the twisties.
Looks like the Tanners is popular, look forwards to seeing some pirates there then-assuming we are entered, my cheque hasn't been cashed and it was sent the start of December!! Would have thought I would have got it back by now if we had not got a place?
Can't join you this weekend now. Am going to do a sportive in Newbury with a friend. Will be sorry not to see you all. And Soupy, those cakes are awesome!
I'll be there Dusty! A few laps of Richmond on Saturday, the Dustboy 'Crease' on Sunday, I'd better be careful, someone'll accuse me of training!! What time's the off? 10 for a 10:30 Dustboy faff?

They can be a bit tardy with the cheque cashing. Did you get an email confirming entry?
I know I did but I am a local LDWA Surrey and have had a few discussions with co-ordinator (Fiona) over the years. Wouldn't worry too much.
Looking forward to Sunday. I'll get there for 10 so I can faff and still have time to watch DB faffing even more. I would love to take credit for the cakes but its not me who makes them but a friend. She posted that picture of her latest creation on facebook and I immediately said "I want some of those"! They are on order - she's a very good friend who is also an awesome cyclist. Sadly she can't join us for the ride but hopefully soon.

Cupcakes- sounds like a plan to me.
I'll try to whup my diary into some sort of shape and update the list, but should be able to do (=I really ought to be doing) most weekends.
I should be there
Providing work doesn't drive me to spending the weekend in a drunken stupor which is a very distinct possibility right now !!
Think it's a couple of hours' drive each way but I'll go a long way for a cake

I'm doing the Tanners but still unlikely to see you Sunday but enjoy it! Routes don't go anywhere near each other.
M.eface
I'm at Tanners too
Have fun

Weather forecast is nippy so wrap up warm

Right - just AA'ed route and it's telling me 2 hours 10 so I'll give myself plenty of time and also try to arrive early too, to allow for getting lost
Nothing will separate me from my pie right cup cakes
Remember fuel, it will be damned parky. Chance to see just how good those pirate bike jackets are!
If anyone has a thermos, it might not be a bad idea?
2359 Saturday then
Thermos for bike or after?

I think there are two pubs, the Cricketers and summat else, sure one will have some grub?
I will get back on my bike year! Managed to pick up at 20kg suit ase the other week and think it wasn't heavy so I reckon my neck/shoulders are fixed

<hunts for thermals and flask>
I'll also bring lights. If you have a back flasher, suggest stick it on. It is winter after all.
I rode the first part of the course last weekend. Wonder if we'll get the army bagpiper practising in the woods again?
Really looking forward to it.
Does anyone going tomorrow have bottom bracket tools?
I need to remove a shimano cartridge BB and install a GXP external BB.
Cheers.....
