This is the final call for certain people who have put their name on the kit list to give me their contact details.
The screenshot below shows who you are and the date you were PM'd.
If I don't hear from you at the email address quoted in the PM, I cannot advance your kit order
***Warning - oncoming rant***
Please can I ask that if you put your name on a list for kit, you accept some responsibility in keeping abreast of what's going on by either checking the Kit Thread or the Facebook Group regularly.
I give up my free time to do this and most of the time I am happy to do so, but a lot of my time is spent chasing slackers and no-shows. I am now considering starting a one-strike-and-you're-out philiosophy because I am no longer going to chase people all over RW, Twitter and personal Facebook trying to track them down.
I have recruited Mr plodder for Outlaw next year and he would like a XL monaco, can it be added to my order please, if poss. (if not he will just have to squeeze into mine which will be quite a sight).

Nursey i'm a 10 and I wear a mens monaco but I actually cant remember what size I own !! I think it may be a small but for comfort I would opt for a medium personally .. you will also find they come up a bit short (for me anyway) so the extra size will give you a little more length
Now I've got a Pirate discount on next years Henley I ought to make sure I've got something Pirate to wear. If it isn't too late can you put me down for a medium cycle top - I'll transfer the money as soon as you want it after tomorrow evening (cos I'm away and really struggling for Internet at the moment).
Ok, I'm battled with the tape measure today, and the tape measure won
The size guide says women's xl (hands over face) or men's medium, but then the conversion chart from women to men say a men's large ... mmm??? (And I'm a 14 normally ... 12 in tops sometimes ...)
So I think that since the clothes come up small I should order a large for the monaco and the jersey, but is the jacket a little more generously cut, and therefore I might be better off in a medium???
Alternatively, has there been swapping around of kit in the past when kit has been too big for some, too small for others?
The monaco doesn't take any prisoners. It is a "performance fit". I have a M mens monaco and it is tight. I *should* have a S monaco (weedy 36" chest).
I'm sure the jacket is a relaxed fit. My M jersey is baggy, and my L jacket is huge. Each item has a certain fit - you can find the fit type on the item's page.
Thanks Cat5, I was trying to work sizes out too. 38" chest, and I'd calculated that S meant Medium for the Monaco.
Brit, don't be embarrassed about your chest. Be proud. Have you seen how embarrassed us blokes are who profess to weedy chests? We're trying to compare ourselves with triangular swimmers.
Oh
By an unusual quirk, in an administrative error the HMRC appear to have taken too little this month, so I'm cash positive Now thinking of cycling jackets.
erm, as I am a size 14 I am thinking I should order a large then? although I am hoping to lose weight, but even then it probably isn't going to be baggy unless I lose a ridiculous amount?
Hi guys. I'm new to this forum. I work in the Middle East and there are no Tri clubs near me so I was wondering if I could race as a Pirate? I know the Pirates focus on Ironman distance however I'm hoping to do a 70.3 next year and an Ironman eventually.
I think I mentioned before somewhere ... if anything its the length in the body that comes up a bit short so I would always opt for the bigger size, that and the arm holes are quite 'baggy' !!
Reckon I'm gonna go for a large Monaco and medium jersey and jacket, since these both have a more relaxed fit. Like you, MC I am hoping to get smaller but so many folk are saying how tight the Monaco fit is and up til now I've only ever worn baggy running vests so perhaps a bit more room might make me feel a little less exposed ...
What do any of the ladies with kit already think of this strategy?
Comments
Would it be simpler to list the things that DONT?!
sorry to be a pain but if it is not too late could I add a pair of tri shorts to the list please?
Schmunkee having problems with the email you have, please send me a Pm and I will give you one that works, ta
Is it too late for last minute additions?

Not too late at all. Have updated your orders
You have PM
When can I pay please?
I don't like having committed debts. I like to know how poor I am.
I sent an email yesterday. Did you not get it?
Ok, current owners of LG Pirate kit - what's the LG size equivalent of a ladies 10 ?
All depends Nursey. Each item of kit has it's own type of fit....
If it helps, Nurse Ratched, I'm a size 12 and I wear a men's medium monaco, and it's not big on me. The sizes are snug.
Coming over to you now.
Just sent you an email - apologies I am late
What would be the equivalent of size 18 for the monaco?

Cheers Meldy. Having looked at the sizing chart, I was going to go for medium.
Thanks

What Blisters said.
Remeber us men don't really know what dress sizes mean in real numbers. You may have to explain. Pictures are worth a thousand words remember .
TBH my monaco is tight around the gut rather than the chest.
You wont be the first pirate in the middle east
welcome aboard!!
Matchschick ... go for a medium
thanks meldy, if they are too small I will just have to lose more weight! will be a good incentive
