Did this with a fairly hefty hangover, which wasn't ideal. Got my pacing wrong and went out a bit spicey. I thought I'd finished, but when the watch read 30:05, I thought that I had to be short, so I popped another 2 lengths in .
I'll bet you weren't shy of the 1500m STIL, I would think 30.05 is well within you. I did a 32.30 on Friday but I just cruised along so I didn't bother logging the time.
I would love to post a sub 30, but I don't want to alter my current rhythm that I hope will get me comfortably through the 3.8k and set up for the bike.

Edited to say my new garmin showed me 30.02, but looking at the data on garmin connect there were a couple of rogue results. There's no way I put in a couple of 14 second lengths in amongst all my other pretty steady 30 sec lengths, so I'll have another go next week.
I read somewhere that the 901xt's swim function has some issues.

Just added 100m did last week (I didn't know we were still counting them). 8 secs lower than March, so pleased with that.
Although slow for 1500m, that's the first time I've done 1500m completely front crawl, so a minor victory for me . I can swim further (can do 3k, but it has always included quite a lot of breaststroke).
I decided to "have a word with myself", and bloody get on with it, so I have now completely banned BS for now.
I was getting quite optimistic last week, but then had an absolute shocker at the pool yesterday. I just couldn't get going, and it felt awful. Got out and gave up after half an hour of thrashing around , but didn't give in, no BS
the kids have gone back and the pools are safe again but i couldnt beat last months 100 and 400 times and only did 3x 800m today which dont count anyway - still got a few days to muster up a 1500 time though

Having been concentrating on longer distances this month I will be lucky to get the rest of the times done as I only have Monday to do them !! I can record one of my 400's and then do a 100 and 200 on Monday perhaps?!
I've done my 1500m, 3 times now, but my times are all over the place due to my Garmin not picking up my useless stroke. My poolmate wasn't quite as fussy.
I'm going to resort to a stopwatch and counting lengths on Friday, when hopefully I can post something around 31 mins.
I'm also going to have to do my 100 and 400 in the same session.
I'm also going to have to do my 100 and 400 in the same session.
1500m TT as well.................That is gonna hurt......
I haven't done any timed swims this month, not wanting to push hard as it seesm to knacker my back. May have a go Sat, although the pool is often busy then.
Maybe it is the years of swim conditioning and racing as a kid, but I cant do a swim TT without pushing 100%.
Don't tell Slower, but we might be able to squeeze a swim in before we go out tomorrow night. I will hide the 'wiggle' parcel I signed for yesterday unless he agrees!
Once a month, at my Tuesday night tri club swim, we do a timed 400m. I knocked 25 secs of my best time last month, and haven't got close to it since. It's also amazing what can be achieved when 'encouraging' insults are being hurled from each end.
I'm thinking that I'll be crawling out of the water and know exactly whose lonesome bike that is in T1. I'll shout abuse at you but you'll not understand it because I'll be slowly drowning at the same time.
Honestly, I haven't a clue what to expect.
I want a nice peaceful glide up and back down the lake with no-one in my space and no-one to bother me. I'll take in the atmosphere and prepare myself for a leisurely jaunt on the bike.
Then when I get off the bike after a few miles, feeling refreshed and generally loving life I'll go for a evening jog around the block to warm down.

My 910 showed a couple of superfast lengths each followed by a sloooow one so I think it evened it out overall.

That's a fantastic improvement bbp.

VT'd - 25 secs is a great improvement, especially for somebody like you whose already pretty darn fast.
Do you think I can get somebody to hurl abuse at me during the Outlaw swim, it might help me make it out of the water in less than 2 hrs
LOL @ bbp. Pretty darn fast my arse.
I'm thinking that I'll be crawling out of the water and know exactly whose lonesome bike that is in T1. I'll shout abuse at you but you'll not understand it because I'll be slowly drowning at the same time.
