So which is it to be?
I've done all 3 in the past and am undecided....
Apathy means hairy legs + pisstaking from people as I look like a comedy triathlete.
Getting the clippers out on the legs is easy but patchy results are even more silly
waxing- hmm just need to get motivated to book...... But this costs money
Then we get to the even bigger question - where do you stop..

LOL...............
shave and stop when you get above the lycra/suntan line - you don't want to go too high or you will have itchy bollox syndrom and chaffage on the wedding tackle that is too painful to blog about. (or so I'm told)

do it yourself waxing- will psychologically prepare you for the pain of race day!
That product review is the funniest thing I've seen for ages!
Getting booked in at the missus' favourite place for a wax.
Wonder why Tri is getting so popular?
Good excuse to shave your body. Just be honest and say you are vain and prefer it that way. I do
I only took up triathlon so that I had a semi valid reason for being a vain hairless freak
You obviously didn't exfoliate and moisturise properly. Schoolboy error
Start now. Clippers and then shave and keep shaving at least once a week until race day.
As to where to stop, stop where your underwear/swimwear starts (whichever cuts the highest).
(I make this post with the authority of being the judge at the IMDE best legs competition 2010.)
so - keep the hair and don't think about falling off
you know it makes sense
The above reasons may not be valid, but they are mine
pictures?? I must admit I am tempted... I definitely agree with the trisuit comment above... just didnt see the point in doing this JUST for a race.
Can I shave my man-bits? Will it make me go faster?
I just couldn't be arsed shaving anything other than my face.
I was once waxed by my wife and kids for their extreme amusement before we went on holiday, agony.
I swore never again as my wife screamed with delight as she disappeared out the door with one of my nipples still attached to the cloth. I'm positive it snapped back into the wrong place.
Shave your man bits GB and it might impress the ladies (and some of the guys) at the start, but after 112 miles on the bike you'll feel like termites have chewed their way right the way through your love life.
Many male cyclists do shave quite a lot of their underneathy man bits area (but not necessarily all of the front area) because it feels more comfortable when riding on a regular basis.
If you start though, you have to keep it up, so that you stop getting the itchy thing that VT'd is referring to.
I'm so used to men who have smooth legs now I find hairy legs quite a turn off.
A confession (which may haunt me) but certain areas are already shaven and dont ever cause problems on the bike. It was the legs I was actually thinking about
Waxing?? That's just for girls I would use a breadknife to confirm my masculinity.... wouldnt even use gel either
I'm sorry I have to quote and repost that in case the youngun gets bashful.
Do you have a load of dates and 'events' tattoed there too GB?
