oooh flipper that is one of my favourite quick dishes!!
I had a Sainsbury good for you chicken chow mein, which was suprisingly tasty, would have followed it with some chocolate but forgot to stop at the shop on my way home so had to do without!
Red, green, yellow peppers, onions, mushrooms, spring onions, tomato flesh (not seeds) lightly stir fried in olive oil and bound in some tomato, basil and garlic sauce.
Some brown rice flavoured with tumeric.
Desert was an Activia low fat yogurt and a kiwifruit.
This was at around 21:00 last night after a 9 miler.
Desperately need to do a shop but managed to find an M&S salmon-in-sauce-in-puffpastry thing in the freezer, with a baked potato. No veg in but had some tinned fruit with last dollop of icecream (Green&Blacks mmm).
Has anyone ever done an online shop? Do you get better bargains or are they the same as in-store?
Spent evening with body-building girlfriend so we 'had' to have two dinners each (she eats miniumum of six meals per day and I just can't sit there and go without)!
1st one: Chicken, Pasta, Brocoli, and Cauliflower.
2nd one (3hrs later): Salmon, Brown Rice and assorted leafy things.
gawd, all these healthy people - I had some unidentifiable processed plastic reconstituted cr*p last night 'cos couldn't be *rsed (rubbish traffic, every man & his dog with scrawling brat at Tescos on way home - no offence to dogs). Bizarrely, hubby had steak in ale that I'd conscientiously cooked up the previous night, am still trying to work out why I didn't share. That's it - too much red meat bad for you. Plastic e-numbers much better.
I had masses and masses of boiled and steamed veg (broccoli, onion, carrot, cauliflower, new pots) with a cheese sauce and lots of pepper... yum! No alcohol either, but Im going to make up for that tonight ;-)

Didn't take much preparation and I could even taste it through my cold.

Gee thanks snoop, flr, although I not sure about the too pure part .
All that time I spent in catering college and in hot kitchens in the past has paid off

Followed by a yogurt
steamed broccoli and green beans.
Pleased with myself that I didnt open a bottle of wine, still feel so virtuous.
As for the cooking sherry, well, er....
and then a yoghurt
and a fig roll
and a piece of chocolate
Felt a bit sick after my early morning run though....
