Ha ha ha. I'm not going near my sock for a good couple of weeks! Then I shall be returning to think about how to push myself harder. I have the endurance but don't do the speed work.
solution JFDI. ( swimming : tick, bike : kick up arse, run : kick up arse, weight : picture xxxl into l monaco/short combo. no. not pretty - put the carbs down. )
Mouse - if you have ideas then let me know, as I think I'm in the same boat as you; have oodles of determination and stamina, but get stuck in one speed only
Not next year as No1 son had GCSE's, so I don't want to be selfish with family time. Signed up for the Outlaw Half, and thinking about Austria 2015 if the clan are OK with it and fancy a holiday
Evening sock-stuffers! My sock has been stuffed a wee bit. Went to a Body Balance class last night which I enjoyed, but jesus christ I think every muscle in my entire body is as tight as a gnats chuff. Some of the moves I couldn't even attempt, and I can't quite stretch to the left due to strained back muscle (which feels okay otherwise). Anyhoo, that tells me I need to keep doing it, as I need to increase my flexibility. So i've signed up for another class on Saturday
Today I cycled to work for the first time ever, and really enjoyed it. It is only a 5 mile round trip, so I should have been doing it months ago, but hey ho, i've started now. Tomorrow I said i'd head to the gym straight from work, so will need to drive, but will aim to bike commute most days.
Sock slowly going on over plantar facsiaitis. Managed to run for an hour with little pain. I have a half marathon in two weeks then a marathon the following week. I am not ready
My sock got stuffed with all the food and snacks on offer whilst working at the Worlds in London today. Much the same tomorrow but I'll take my run kit and stuff the sock properly afterwards.

My sock is a bit knackered after the weekend, but sock stuffing will resume soon....

Frags - Meldy and I were discussing at Wales. I'm sure we can think of ideas on a three way basis. Are you thinking of going long again next year?

Chris if you have PF then I would question your wisdom to do a half and then a marathon ...
Tomorrows sock stuffing will depend on what time I haul my 'arris out of bed, I wont get home til 3am so it is unlikely to be early !!
Stuff your sock then go to your pit
Had to go an see a client today for a meeting. Car is having a service so I've just done a 47km ride with an hour break half way through.
Sock feels pretty good right now, time wasn't bad especially with a backpack in with laptop, lock, clothes and shoes.
Going to the spa tonight, so will be rinising my sock in the pool followed by stewing it in the jacuzzi and steam room
All that sweat must burn calories!
absoloutely!
1hr turbo with Chrissie ... pyramid intervals and then an hour on weights and what have you ... now for a night shift and try to keep my eyes open !

Meldy, is the Chrissie turbo thingy a DVD or like an MP3 download?
Thanks! I shall seek it out
Edit: found them! I especially like the look of the 'Relax with Chrissie Wellington' audiofuel one
I went for the hour long one rather than pay for a 40 minute one ... I like VFM
Swim swum, spin spun. No DVDs involved

Gees louise there Chris don't do things by halfs now do you? I took my sock to bodypump and told it to squat like a mad thing
