Morning all. PT sesh for me last night, but it was a bit easier than usual, mostly lots of hip related work which hurt a lot (hips are tight) but didn't make me sweat. Managed to increase my deadlift PB to 62.5kg. Did a lot of reps at 50kg, then 55kg, and I think 10 (or 12) at 60kg, but that extra 2.5 kilos felt like about 20kg more, so couldn't do more than 6 reps. Happy with that though Tonight is a run after work, and tomorrow is a run in the morning then off to London for the weekend
I need to get in the pool to practice my Swim smooth stuff, but banned from swimming (which i'm obviously gutted about... ) until I get a couple of stitches out my leg. Ah well, running and gym-ing it is!
Good lifting Xmas Pea. Hope you got some good pint/wine lifting done in London too. Swimming is waaay overrated
65km on the bike yesterday with the club.11.5km ran today including 2x3km tempo (12:08 & 12:13). Struggled with pacing due to undulating roads, wind and generally trashed legs from yesterday. That's my only back-toback in the week.
Friends over this afternoon for food, banter and beer/wine. Thus begins the epic descent in to the festive season.
Another PB at the Ronhill Surrey Classic today at Horton Park today. Nearly four minutes off the previous effort last month. (This course is known to be slightly short). So 1:03:15 for the effort today and finally that sub 60 is back in sight after so many years wandering in between 1:15 and 1:20.
Biked to gym and back yesterday, Bodypump class and 40 lengths was going to do more but arms were a bit tired after the strength training. Sock stuffed.
Spent some more time on the rollers yesterday. Far more fun that the turbo, especially during a run focus. Tried the TT bike on the rollers at the end. Twas a bit twitchy...
Forgot to eat? I can never imagine that happening. Spinning and running done, Portsmouth marathon in the morning and a major mince pie bake up tonight.
Thanks, I'm just hoping not to get washed/blown away. Hope you feel better Cat, unfortunately all of my 'illness' for the last week has been booze induced.
We've spoiled ourselves with three days off Meldy. One of which I intend to use to drink my body weight in fizzy stuff.
You? Have the shift Gods been kind?
Just completed a run through of the knacker cracker and then an additional 5 miles back home from box hill. It's fair to say I'm now knackered and crackered.
All that's needed now is 'the Holiday', tea and chocolate.

2 x (6 x 400) is 4.8km. Did you swim another 9.7km of warm-up/cool down or is the 1 superfluous?
It was a track session and I ran to and from the track. I abhor swimming.
Ah! That makes more sense!! tee hee!!
Nice work, in that case.
Thanks Flyers. That Meldy always tried to confuse people.
But you see, she has such an honest face, that I just tend to believe everything she says.... would those eyes lie to us?
(and, er... I'm a bit dumb and gullible?!)

Woohoo Cat, happy descending.

Nice racing HC. You're on fire!

HC .. that is awesome, well done
An hour and a bit horsey commute for me earlier .. trying to get back on track
2400m swim for me yesterday. Beautiful sunny day here today so just may take the dogs for a run in the forest this evening before it gets dark.
Wet run tonight. Thought I was swimming, and sure I saw an Ark get blown past!
It has been a little damp this week, ran before spin Mon & Tues and looked like I'd been swimming. On that subject, must go swimming....
I really need to get back in the pool been to buzy and also lazy. Did manage to almost swim home last night on the bike through.
Last PT session of the year this morning - planned break next week, I'm knackered LOL.
So, 2lb off this week making a total of 22lb (and a dress size) since we started sock stuffing.
Good work HC, I have not been near the scales in a while, need to get back on track come January.

Long run done. Is it time for bed yet?
Friday night is parteeeeee night is it not ? !
Not here!
Felt like shite shortly after getting back then realised I forgot to have lunch. Now feeling very ill.
Cat hope you're feeling better this morning.
Forgot to eat? I can never imagine that happening. Spinning and running done, Portsmouth marathon in the morning and a major mince pie bake up tonight.
I'd meant to run at 12, but it ended being at 1:15 ish. So didn't get round to eating.
Still feel like shit today. Christmas illness.
Good luck tomorrow.
Good luck Kate
Cat, it sounds like you need to take it a bit easy for a while .. still suffering from those pork pies ??
Happy C ... some time off for yourself in the mad season?
Thanks, I'm just hoping not to get washed/blown away. Hope you feel better Cat, unfortunately all of my 'illness' for the last week has been booze induced.
Definitely the pork pies.
Good luck Kate!
*atishoo*

Slow old plod round in 4.19, loads of excuses including a wade through the sea as the tide came in early. Bejesus it was a chilly one.
