I only live 15 miles from Rutland, so will try and turn up early and bag a decent spot.

3 weeks on saturday.... is everyone who entered still planning on racing?
Well that didn't go to plan!
Foul, foul, foul weather.... horrible heavy rain set in.
Absolutely flying along, 8 mins faster in the water than last time, miles up on the bike.... over 15 mins on the first lap alone, and crash.... fell off at the foot of Steadfold Lane, and slid across the road at 25mph.... fair bit of road rash, but not enough to stop me getting back on.... but front shifter broken off, and front derraileur stuck/bent just enough to be binding and grinding on small ring.... game over. I was far from the only one falling on that corner.... 8 people by the time I came off already!
So, my first ever DNF in a tri... gutted, as I was going really well... its not the end of the world I guess, just frustrating.... will just have to enter a half next year to get that PB!
Saw Scuba.... but don't know how he went... will keep an eye on results....
For those that bailed... good call... the weather was shocking.
