Sorry, haven't been around this week so am a bit late wishing you all luck. Most of you seem to have gone but at least TC is still around to pass on my best wishes.
I have tried hard to coordinate racing that morning and then flying out to watch but it is not going to happen, the flight times just aren't working in my favour. I'll be following as closely as I can though.
Have a brilliant time. Try not to get too sucked in to the pre race atmosphere, all the adrenaline it creates can be quite tiring further down the line.
The race will be hard but not as hard as the six months of getting up at ridiculous hours to get the miles in. Enjoy the experience as much as you can and when it gets hard remember my favourite Norwegian saying...
A man who is a man goes on till he can do no more and then goes twice as far.
Good luck, and see you all when you are made of iron.
Went out for a short run just before 8 the humidity was horrendous, seems to have cleared a bit now, going to be hot again. Tish (Cartmans lady) and Daniel B have not long headed off to rack their bikes
I fell of my MTB on Sunday crashing into a barrier. The tumble yesterday was a seperate incident, im a little sore but im sure all knocks will be healed in a few days.
Sounds like a long, slow buckering and/or self harming obsession to me. Hopefully Debbo will be along shortly (pun intended) for a proper diagnosis ....
