WW - makes you a youngster! I Love 1974 is more like it, by 81 they'd gone all noise & electronic so you couldn't hear the words properly. (Sorry Glenn can't say I've heard of Joe Strumer)
"And we sang shang a lang and we ran with the gang singing do op be dooby do ay" - ah they don't make songs like that any more
to keep with the thread title perhaps we should try to remember the lyrics to Gilbert O'Sullivan's 'Alone Again.. Naturally", then I fear I'll end up in the correct forum too (injured by Glenn & pixie)
For information only, I do remember the words for "Alone Again Naturally". This is because a) I have an annoyingly photographic memory and b) I am not yet senile. Oh, and c) I was alive at the time. Unlike Pixie.
Morning all!!! Whats all this melancholic talk of old age an ancient music... Just about to head out for a pub lunch and then home for two hours of peace while the kids are at the panto (hope favourite son no 1 doesn't puke all over the kids in front, I have spent all weekend nursing him through his tonsilittis(spelling))!!
I got my flyer through this morning for Redcar....March 9th (nice and early...very chilly at the sea side). Who's coming...Will, Glenn, Tulips, Gaz, Maccie (come on you have all shown an interest).
Its a kinda likness Fi, Most of the hair is fake. The belly is just about right though! The drive from along the A66 from the A1 to Redcar is truly breathtaking...you need a gas mask! as it takes you through the largest petro chemical industrial region in europe.
BBR, you should turn left instead of right onto the A66 and drive it all the way to Keswick, that's properly breathtaking, has to be one of the most scenic stretches of road in the country.
I'm with you on that one Slowboy. And Redcar's not especially warm in August.
Did go swimming in the sea a few Boxing Days back though. Albeit at St. Ives, but it was hardly warm. There were seals in the water with me (not joking btw).

Joe Strummer was the lead singer of the Clash btw.

a) true :-)
b) you sure?
c) watch out pix, Glenn's on the pull
W - and if you look stressed they tell you to chill out!
Nick, if I was in Hemel I'd come round and clip you round the head.

Wheres Redcar?
Howdy Fi, I think my mistletoe has scared of all the boys.
BBB, I've already said yes. I'm a man of my word!
Love the piccy BBR. I take it that this is the true life likeness?

If you really want to experience the way of life of proper 'ard northerners, go for a swim in the North sea whilst you're there ;-)
Redcar sounds wonderful (not).
See you all later.
And I don't live there any more, boo hoo.
