For running and other outdoor sports, Oakley sunglasses seem to work the best for me. Snug fit, polarized (proclaim 100% UV protection), wraps around your head so no glare can get in and they look cool. I hope this helps.
Of course, Oakleys are superb and they must be 100% UVA / UVB protected because if they weren't, they would not conform to EN1836 and hence they'd be illegal in the UK (and Eu for that matter).
The problem with Oakleys is the cost - even their cheapest polycarbonates are quite dear, and for £30 - £40 you can buy Sundogs, Sunwise or Rapid Eyewear sunglasses with interchangeable lenses etc. that are far more versatile. All are lightweight, sports wrap-arounds and the optical quality is more than good enough. Rapid Eyewear make some pairs with interchangeable polarised lenses, including Ace, which also have vents that stop fogging that can occur if sweat drips off your eyebrows.
It is difficult choosing because there are so many on the market, but to be honest, if you stick to 'proper' brands with a decent build quality, as opposed to spending £4.99 in your local garage, you'll get something that does the job reasonably well.
The rydon and syluro are great, fully adjustable, glue to your head and aren't as expensive as Oakleys. Can usually find them in a cycling shop. Standard lenses are fine, I've used them in the UK, Turkey, California and Croatia in all types of conditions and never had a problem.
Bought some great cycle ones from decathlon the other day, Cheap, Cheerful and 100% UV. Snug round your face so they dont bounce, or buy an elastic back for them
As I said Amigo, they have to be 100% UVA protected to be legal in the UK. All eyewear companies use this as a 'selling feature' - that's the marketing game I suppose.
You know I prefer online shopping for sunglasses as we can get a large variety to choose from. Numbers of websites are there that offers great deals. My son is an athlete whom I have gifted a pair of sunglasses from the contact lens heaven. He is really satisfied with them.

I'm a big fan of rudy project sun glasses.

It's a pair, so you would say 'them', not 'it'. Big 'O' for Oakley also.
If you're gonna 'spam' get it right!

Anyone on here know if any good?
I need glasses for keeping the flies out more that anything else!
Oh, just realised this is a really old thread.....
15W Cannot go wrong at that speed. Might have a go myself
The sunwise ones do seem worth looking at under 20 quid, in some places and they have 3 sets of interchangeable lenses.
