Right, this is my effort to keep the thread alive. Not been here since shortly after the Sheff half. Anyone done any halfs since then and would they recommend them?
Alrate Westley, i haven't done any half events although i have done some training wise. I am doing Mansfield in July though which is a great run if you like a few inclines and the possibility of hot weather.
Cheers for that KPO. Have heard generally positive comments about Mansfield. I've never ran a half in nice weather, it's always been wet or cold or both!
I have found out today i am being sent on a course this weekend so i wont be able to do Mansfield, good job i hadn't entered already otherwise a certain person who likes to continually pull me down might take the mick a bit more...
Looks like i will have to try and find some space in my hectic shedule for the Notfast 10K the week later
I know what its like having no time stuart, i have not done much running lately, just been out now though for a 10k run (felt crap) going for shower now as i stink
Aitch - my last few exams did not go so well, especially those STEP papers. They were very tough. I'm expecting to end up at my insurance choice but will just have to wait for results day I guess. Did you have a good time in Spain? I ran 1:32 at Mansfield by the way, was very pleased. I will have to try for 1:30 at Notts if I am feeling good!
Sorry to hear they didn't go well. You never know though..... I thought I did badly in one of my final year exams and ended up with 82% so just wait and see! I'll have my fingers crossed for you though. Where's your insurance choice? Wherever you go, you'll have an ace time. I wish I was doing it all over again for three years! Well done on Mansfield - that's a fantastic time you're sooooo speedy! Here's me hoping for 2.10 at Notts!
Cake - I went straight back, mainly because the weather was not good. Has that social happened yet?
Aitch - my insurance choice is Imperial in London so I guess I can't really complain. I think you're right that it will be good wherever I go though. And 2.10 would be a great time by the way!
James - social is August the 3rd. Yep Aitch is right, you'll have a great time wherever you go, it's as much about the people you meet as the place itself.

Plenty of options just not enough time to do them all!

Oh dear - I have sorely neglected this poor thread, for which I am truly sorry.
