I put my hand up. I ran it, I had to really as the route does go by the end of our road at about the half way point.
Enjoyed it, runners were friendly and I had a few good chats with other runners early on when there were more runners about. In the second half it got very lonely and saw few other runners. Also a bit disappinted with the support (or lack of it) from locals. The marshalls were good, and the couple of people handing out jelly babies were appreciated.
Not a course to run a time on - the last few miles are really brutal. Was amazed that the winning time was over 3 hours - I was 20 minutes down on my spring marathon time - although I did not expect to get near that time as I had not put in the mileage over the summer.
Well done to everyone who ran.
