Yup. Starts over near the bus station (round M&S) side and then goes round the access roads and back. Only done it once so far but will probably try and do a few more once I start doing some speed work again.
There's also a 10k that sherunsheruns organises sometime in July. Started last year. Was injured at the time so couldn't do it but hope to do it this year - assuming it fits the mad race schedule!!
I have just been jotting down some ideas that might incorporate running with my work ! I had a few ideas on friday but you guys have just inspired me .....i am going now because i am a sad git and on a sunday i am going to scribble down a basic form for a presentation ...
quick couple of questions ...saves me doing some leg work today
Adapt from the london marathon and the great north run ....whats televised ? How much interest do you guys actually take in whose sponsoring or running in an event ?
Tell those in power, CB, that anyone who sponsors an event attracts the admiration and appreciation of all who run in it, oh yes. Why, only today I patronised Sweatshop after the Reading half - and by buying things rather than rubbing their lovely fluffy hair and calling them adorable.
Hmmm...... Can't say I buy a lot of Flora, but I suppose if you asked me to think of what I associate it with then at least the first thing would be "running" rather than "lard" so I guess they got their money's worth if we all think like that!
Has anyone seen my Sunday? Only it seems to have evaporated. Got home from MK about 2.30, had a bath, water went cold, grudgingly put my book down and got out of the bath, had a lurk around to see how everyone else got on, and it's going fecking dark already
i've had a lovely day, run this morning, spent the afternoon with my parents for mothers day, been for a late breccie and a walk, it was lovely. now off to put baby ned to bed (well clean up after her first) and then settle on the sofa with a beer and dancing on ice.
ST took me running in the mud today. I didn't like it. There was one bit through an underpass where I couldn't see the water and mud but could feel it. My running shoes are covered in Oxted mud which I am exporting to Aberdoom very shortly.
It is sunny and bright here. I am just hoping it hasn't dried up the mud too much as I am going to go plodding shortly.....
TP hasn't yet realised that mud is our friend. As are hills. Next time she's down, we're going to tackle the route on the Downs with my nemesis hill, yay!
CB, good for you, taking up running. You will love it!
<passes steaming bowl of Olbas Oil to TP, to be followed by a medicinal hot toddy as soon as the sun is slightly more vertical!>
Morning all. On my last day of use-it-or-lose-it leave, the sun's shining, and just had a text to say that BB's best friend is the proud father of a baby girl as of an hour ago. A little head-wetting will be called for later on methinks!
Go for it CB, only like someone said earlier, make sure it's in proper running shoes or you'll be joining the queue for Bear's services

Good going camel. We don't charge for the first consultation, but if you want any more advice it's fifty an hour.

feel exhausted just reading that
Evening folks! Well, can I recommend getting leathered at the London Social, then racing on the Sunday to everyone? Would appear it guarantees a PB
I'm going to skip March soc but will defo be around for April. See you all there.
I would appear to have lost a scarf (BDB you have mail about that) but gained a lovely chest infection. Must be those strange Southern germs!
<cough, couch>
<wheeze .... splutter>

Thanks all for a wicked night.
Although I suspect that the tequila may not have been a good idea...
I am not sure.
I know I had one before I met up with you people - was nervous and bored and on my own and needed my card to make up over £5 to buy my round
