Are you physically drawing the route onto a map and scanning it in? You can plot routes manually on sites like mapmyrun, no need to stick to roads or anything, plus that will measure the distance for you. Bit more time consuming I know so whatever works for you.
Just had a quick skim back and realise I've missed so much you guys have done fantastic looks like Barry's had great time. I need to catch up proper but love the video's and what I've read and so far, looking forward to doing a bit in the next section now even more so, Thanks for the inspiration.
What is becoming very clear is the fun as well as the inspiration. We have videos, pictures , great stories and a coasters spirit that simply grows and grows. In ten years time, I think we will still be talking about this relay and Barry. This contrasts to the relay that took place 10 years ago. It is so hard to find any info, photos, videos etc in spite of them having sponsorship and running for charity for the Queen Mother's birthday. Seb Coe behind them too. Did it ever really complete its journey and how? It remains invisible, sadly.
you are right but I cannot see any reason why there wont be commitment down there. Remember we are always gathering momentum and with that comes "will" and with that comes.....(end of lecture on bigger picture-lol)
in truth you cannot compare. The commitment and organisation will have its own challenges relating to numbers as opposed to lack of them. It aint a competition just a challenge.
No worries.... we southerners are just as commited to this relay as our friends in the north...because we all want to make sure Barry gets round DO IT FOR BARRY!!!!

Great running Coasters! Great organisation and great teamwork too... hope the southerners can match this level of commitment when our turn comes.
Barry is certainly having a good time and making good time too on his journey
Damned hard act to follow runnaholic. You lot down there have the advantages of population and time. They seem largely doing good down there already
These tough Scottish stretches and the organization and communication have amazed me
6 months from an idea-now look at it!
Latest news in is that Barry has now made Oban !!
Well done Lizzie and Phil !!
A quick trip round Kerrera to follow and we'll be done in this section on schedule...pretty amazing stuff.
all heroes, every last one of you
You've all done very well!
Yeah, but population and time count for nothing without commitment and organisation...

Yep definately committed down here in the South or is that should be committed?
Very well done everyone here, another couple of days and another big green tick goes up on the website.
I have every faith in you Southerners. You were very quick off the mark at the begining.
bl*ddy nasty ear infection that actually stopped me running today Anyhow got some drops and anti-bionics and hopefully it will go way soon.
possibly-lol Just as well I guess
poor doc coudn't get his scope in coz it was swollen inside
So we've made it!!!!!!!!!!!!- Just doing a quick lap of honour?
Fantastic- good luck to the next stretch
Whoopeee.... we've finally ran Ayr to Oban!
I'm resting tonight in Oban and Coasters are planning a relentless weekend of running to make to best of the weather while it's good going...
So if you would excuse me, I'm off to bed...it has been a loooong day....
