Winter Tough Guy and wetsuits, there's no getting around thats its freezin, yes I have done it! I didnt wear a wetsuit and actually remember someone ripping a wetsuit off and discarding it a couple of miles into the country miles (maybe they regretted it later). As Cougie said the water is over the latter stages but I think the discomfort of over heating in a wetsuit would outweigh the discomfort of being cold, let alone potential chaffing issues. Lastly, isnt the whole point of doing tough guy about getting cold, burnt, covered in mud and ripped to pieces by barbed wire!

I know Billy Wilson is a character but I wouldn't go as far as what has been said about him. Always been pretty good to us (and no I haven't done the race but I have marshalled at it quite a few times, and no I'm not actually anything to do with the Mr Mouse Farm (in case you try to get back on them somehow)).
I would have thought that a wetsuit was an absolute no no. Try some old kit that you don't mind getting ruined, or a thong (lots of those there). Or even a shirt and tie. But not a wet-suit.....
With regard to the being prepared to be bullied, shouted and banned etc. etc...... It is TOUGH guy not, take your time guy. Its in the literature that there is an absolute cut off at 3. IMHO what you are seeing as bullying is just 'motivation' to help you finish.
BTW, whats a troll? (Other than something that sits under bridges and eats billy goats).
