If we start at 9.30am, anyone know how long this ride might take? What did it take last year, anyone know?

All depends if last years route is the same as this year  


I think the Honourable Hobbit was going to recce the route for potholes et.c

45-50 miles give or take a  few upflats its likely to take a while !!

Right I have finalised a route - subject to last minute conditions check - 80kms and about 1600mts climb according to mem map, so probably a bit less in reality. Will check it out next week to make sure there are no problems.

Ive only done like a maximum of 4hrs on the turbo, would this be likely to kill me?

I could travel down on the Friday night stop in local hotel save a drive in the morning, wouldnt mind having a go, if there is a good chance of survival

to be honest, if you do 4 hours on the turbo that ought to qualify you for some kind of gently being 'put to sleep' anyway
