Rang organiser lunchtime today as no numbers through in post, was promised he would sort it today for collection on day of race and email me all the details and phone if any problems. Now 4.30 pm, no email, no phone call, rang again to be told hes gone home and will be in tomorrow , ring back then!!! Not impressed for the cost of entry would expect better. Supposedly all posted tues/weds, first class, maybe they'll arrive tomorrow?
well its not arrived, no email, no phone call, THANKS GRAHAM, VERY PROFESSIONAL. Wont be entering again, nor wasting our time going tomorrow, will, however, expect a refund and will pursue relentlessly if necessary. To say im not happy is an understatement.I will also be letting K swiss know my feelings. This race was a lot of money fopr some of us, particularly in these trying times.Shame on you organisers.Rant over, good luck to all who were lucky enough to get what they paid for, months ago for some like us, hope the organisation on the day is somewhat better!!
If you've entered, you can just pick up your number on the day if it hasn't arrived... not that much of a biggy really. This sort of thing happens every now and then.
Busy faffing with my timing chip band thing as we speak.
Well I have to say was pleased with that first 10K for 4 years and 51.06 as per my Garmin. Though it was showing the distance as being slightly under 10K. Happy though 1 year on 3 stone lighter and 15 mins off my last 10K. Now off to the pub.Very well done veester.
Got 40m 6s, best by 12s but still disappoitning as thought I'd get under 40 mins in this one. Will try for Sheffield September. Still, past two years I've been quite a bit slower than my other Manchester time for this and had it down as a slow course.
Head wind put me off quite a bit - plus I'm quite lightweight so the wind gets to me more (not that I'm trying to make excuses).
Great time Kevin, you're really unlucky to miss out on the sub 40. We must've been running together at points because I only finished 20 seconds in front of you. I was the lad with the glasses and brown t-shirt. Ended up throwing up some cheese from the night before at the end!
Oh dear Messi!! My friend was supporting and said she'd seen someone throw up right before the finish - she will have been the one yelling at you that you didn't have far to go and to keep on going even after you threw up!
Gutted - I thought I had done a sub 45 minute, but actually did 45.03. Still, its 5 minutes off my last time. Time to push on to break that 40 minute barrier.
Thanks all, it was a great morning and great race and well done everyone. Til next year - hasta lieugo x
Kevin1 I got one on my window and thought would be perfect 1st August. Unfortunately its 10M so just slightly to far for me I think. Cant see a website so cant give you a link.
Veester and Kevin... there was water being handed out at the end! There was powerade available from the sides and people with water bottles were milling round the finishers. You must have missed it!
Good race today - not the most scenic, and a bit packed at times, but I ran a PB by a clear 2 minutes so i don't really care about any of the negatives!
Could it be that people measured it short because they cut little corners now and then round the route? I saw plenty of people not staying on the roads round bends which could account for discrepencies?

Not impressed.

Hope it went well for you. I PB'd with 45:39 according to my Garmin. Pretty happy with that as my training was a bit pants.
Disappointing that there was no water at the end, only powerade. Water should be compulsary at the end of races.
Messi, no idea about results. Later today or tomorrow if they're on the ball.

Messi, I know how you must have felt. I ate very little yesterday because I know I'm prone to that sort of thing.
Better organised this year, much better at the start, but would have liked water at the end (not a fan of power drinks).

Was the course about 150metres/0.1 miles short?
I noticed a comment saying it was short and i clocked i short on my garmin too. Just wandered if anyone else got this reading
