I identified the ones that would be particularly annoying from the initial clips - and one's gone already. The one with the beret may be pushy and annoying but she can sell. I was convinced that the one without the beard (Rhys, I think) who didn't get fired was going to cry at any second,
Silver shiny suit? Were we back in the 80's? And the kid without the beard who didn't get the boot, get a shirt that fits FFS, that collar must have been 4 sizes too big for him. Kid with the beard do your collar up and have a shave, I'm 44 and can't grow a beard like that, how old is he supposed to be?
I find it sad that so many of the people on these shows think that being pushy, loud & obnoxious is the way forward in business. Alan Sugar is hardly the perfect role model in that regard.
I have not watched it but one of the contestants is the daughter of a teacher at my son's school. I thought that it was filmed during the week and then shown but, according to his teacher, they have already filmed the whole series and know who has won.
Do they still won a £100k contract to work with him? <!--EndFragment-->
Topcat, they win a big fund towards there education/business start up, but not that much.
My statement so far was beret blond: looking good is important in business 'because no-one wants to make a deal with an ugly person'. She should try that one on Sir Alan!
It was filmed last August/Sept and was due to go out earlier this year, but the BBC delayed it because of the looming election what with Lord Sugar being a Labour peer. Haven't seen it yet.
I thought the kids were incredibly mature for their age...
Did you spot Karen (Sugar's advisor) in one of the market scenes in her posh outfit and running shoes on! You know how some female commuters will wear trainers on the way to work instead of heals.. she must have forgotten to change her shoes...
I think this will be a good series and I'm looking forward to the real Apprentice series coming back to the screens, presumably when this one ends...?
I don't know - it's a personal thing but I'm very tired of the format, and very tired of Alan Sugar - I feel.
Needs a new figurehaed and a revision of the tasks I feel - As much as every apprentice has to be a hard nosed rude selling machine they forget a few important business tenents, honesty, co-operation, humility
I think that little Scottish girl may do well. Shiny suit team leader had one of the worst pouts I've ever seen, one of . Vintage chick *could* be too good. There's always one like that in the series and he never picks them as the winner.
I think they win £25,000 but L'Alan (doesn't sound as good) decides how much they can have and when.
The format does feel same ol same ol but I know I won't give it up, especially when we forum and watch at the same time.

evening Yeo
yep agree totally
lol no
bring back margaret
oh yes
I'm finding it hard to summon up the same venomous feeling somehow
tho' no doubt it'll come over the weeks
good
didn't like him
and we've no Adrian Chiles...
Not watched it yet - only bits in the ad breaks.
Suspect "woman love cheese" could go down as the quote of the series.
Does seem to be a competition to be the biggest tosser.
Don't seem to deal with people like that in my line of business, and if I did, they wouldn't get much time from me.
Interesting that some TV role models fit the same mould, Gordon Ramsay, Alan Sugar - Maybe rudeness is a bonus not a flaw...
In that case, I'd like to say 'f*** off'.
Now, where's my bonus?

Most probably.

Just catching up via iPlayer.
Sraln's been promoted !
Just got round to watching it.
Wish someone would stop the blonde beret-wearer from fiddling with her hair while she's handling the cheese
The lad that's running the guy's team is immensely irritating.
If I remember rightly his name's Jordan
so 'tit' is the first word that springs to mind...

Loved reading the comments so far all in one go. So true, so true!
