gobi - have a great holiday, bike museum sounds like fun
well, I am up and eating my porridge before llanelli marathon, not sure whether I am going to make it all the way round, but just getting to the start line is a major achievement!! It is a beautiful morning, wind seems to have dropped, sun is shining and I am glad I packed sunscreen
Sorry MC, good luck to you too! 5 miles for me this morning DW 1 pigeon, now off into London, not to spectate but for a Thai cookery course, might see if I can see Mo. See if you can pick up a Penny Farthing Gobi.
Emmy - lost track of where you are running, but good luck
Good morning all
16 miles this morning NW 2 Grouse 3 rabbits. OR 4
Good luck hope you both have good races.
Kate,Looks like Mr F is going to get spoilt over the coming weeks with your new skills. Legs feeling good almost.
Chris , hope the Achilles is feeling better today.
Gobi enjoy your holiday.
Morning all - weights and core this morning, stomach needed work aftr scoffing all of my hard work yesterday, got to see some of the marathon yesterday too, lovely weather for it. valis, you're back on the long stuff already.
I did it the long rambling report is on this thread: http://www.runnersworld.co.uk/forum/triathlon/training-for-a-shorter-tri/169733-690.html
but the abbreviated version is, beautiful weather, got a bit warm and the wind picked up from mile 11 onwards. OH and kids acted as support crew well - the course went past where we are staying 4 times and they were there each time with a banana for me. Was tough mentally between 18 and 21 miles when I just wanted to stop and passed by the finish chute, but carried on and finished in 6:00:53
a bit stiff today but knees and hips both fine which is the main thing
I think you all know the journey I have had across the years with injuries stopping me from getting to the start line so finishing was emotional and I shed a little tear

thanks Kate Emmy - lost track of where you are running, but good luck
Thanks Mathschick - I was in Rotterdam.
How is everyone doing?
A big well done again MC.

Nw 1 fox
Mc, Well done
Kate, short stuff today.
Gobi, Shame on you a holiday and a lie in ,I can see apathy setting in before the weeks out
Emmy I 'm fine hows the new country and home going.
still giving myself chance to recover, but yesterday included lots of walking and today we are orienteering - active recovery?
Valis - that sounds familiar! I love seeing the sunrise
New home is good but i'm not really there a lot Although thats how it feels like. For two weeks - i'm now in Rotterdam.
How is everyone else getting on?
A'noon all or 'Buon giorno !'
See me and my French
We had a cracking time in Italy last week.
Actually I did forget and said 'Merci ' to a Naples shop assistant last week. She just laughed
There were 'SOC' runners in Pompei, I jogged the last 100m to the summit of Vesuvius. I passed the legendary USSR pole valuter Sergey Bubka in Naples. If it wasn't him it was his double.
Oh and there's an Italian chocolate called 'Ovetti' ! Honest
We've had pc probs since we returned !Hopefully okay now
Lots to catch up on
Off to work at 3pm catch up tomoorow
Welcome back birky, and glad you're still enjoying and inadvertently SOCing Gobi. 10 miles tonight including track which was 6 X 5 mins, will hurt tomorrow. Busy at work and looking forward to a long weekend.
MC - well done. Must have been tough running past the finish but good effort to keep going! Will check out the rambling version later!
Cracking sunrise here
NW;2 lamas, 3 dogs, 1 squirrel,1 cat and 4 horses
Right catch up...
Morning all - feeling smug as I've got my long swim done for the week. Birky, did the Ovetti coffee make you faster?
Birky - that coffee sounds awesome!
Gobi - an awesome achievement.... how are you doing?
Run done, spin spun, as theoretically it's Thursday night a glass of wine now.
8 miles this morning Nw 1 Heron.
looking forward to a couple of extra days off ,More time to squeeze in a couple more runs.
Morning you lot
Off out now
Catch up when I get back
Kate and emmy: It was Ovetti chocolate, not coffee. Yeah It was great.
Dreich and smiry rain morning here today
NW: 3 dogs,2 cats,1owl, 2 llamas, 4 horses, 1 cyclist who was dressed head to toe in Team Sky kit !
Morning all - shameful, no SOCing this morning, run and swim tonight. It is strange that cyclists seem to sport full team kit, waiting for the opportunity to step into a TDF stage at any moment.
Morning Kate: Yeah I;ve seen this guy cycling fast before in full Team Sky kit. Either he's very good or has dosh to burn. His bike is a decent one too. I read Cycling Weekly when they've finished with it at the local library !
