Hi all...... talking of clothes, just bought a bikini and have been standing in front of the mirror trying to decide if I like it or if its just a good way of scaring everyone else off so that I can get to the sun beds first..!!!!
Hipps.....I am exactly the same. I hate it when somethng I loved and looked good in yesterday gets the frump of the year award today. Thats why I too have an obscene amount of clothes and still buy more.
I've got hardly any clothes and all the ones I have are scruffy and well-worn :-( Buying mens' clothes and kids' clothes is so much more appealing than trying to find something that fits me properly.
The clothes I'm wearing now are covered in white paint and the water that used to be inside a radiator. I'm on sprog duty tonight because Mr V-rap and Ivor have gone to the opera. I was going to take Tinkerbell and Angelmouse out shopping for high-opacity white paint because no amount of coats of the stuff I'm using will ever hide the fact that Ivor's bedroom walls used to be blue, but Angelmouse bathed herself and went to bed while I was draining the radiator. Finally got all the old skirting-board off. It wasn't easy - this house was built when wood was wood.
Bune, I'm the daughter of a very handy Dino-man, and tend to assume that my father's skills are genetic rather than that he was a tradesman most of his working life and went to technical college to learn his trades. When the plumber gets called to Raptor Cavern, it isn't because the sink's blocked, it's because the sink has been dismantled and the blockage removed but the pieces don't seem to fit together again.
I was unimpressed when the plasterer said he couldn't take off radiators. I mean, how difficult is it? The answer, of course, is that it's pretty much impossible if your spanner is too small, which is why the radiator is only half-off.
