Well that's the last time I ever offer anyone any help!

Just for the record though... I have done a sub 13 hour IM and Jaffa hasn't, despite all his years of marathons and endurance. Still, goes to show hard work can only get you so far, talent is required to go sub 13 clearly!

As for Jaffa having the temerity (look it up!) to say that *I* mince!!!!! Unbelievable!

I'll take your bike up, rack it and have it ready for you Jaffa. No need for you to check it, just do your swim and it'll be waiting for you in T1.

Well, managed to fall off the bike yesterday. 40+ mph descent on a damp road and ego bigger than ability. I've displaced a collarbone and have some spectacular road rash. Worse still, I've wrecked my pirate jacket Any idea how a week or 2 of inaction is likely to affect my chances of getting to the start line guys?

I reckon you are looking at longer than two weeks for it to heal properly NV. (this is not a professional medical opinion )

Heal well NV. Displaced collarbone - is that the same as a separated shoulder? If so get physio now. It was about 6-8 weeks before I could run after I did mine due to the jarring. ~15 months later it's popped up again and the physio told me not to swim this week (though it didn't seem to be the cause).

HM today for me. New PB!
