Kanga - Prince Siggy's mate does them.. stickybike.co.uk
Its difficult to order anything 'special' from his website, but if you email him with specifics then pay via his web site, he can do almost anything. He has the Pirate logo, so can stick it on anything
Just been out for a run in full pirate gear (my borrowed kit from OC for outlaw, I felt mighty proud wearing it...
BUT
the run was a bit of disaster, my half full side of the brain is killing it speed work.
Basically, being a moron and not having run since Edinburgh, I set out at 7'30" pace (WTF?!?) then gassed and walked for 1 min, this sort of lunacy lasted for 6.33 miles in around 57" including proving directions to two sets of Sunday drivers (clearly the pirate monaco is like the 6th emergency service, when the person in the passenger seat is clueless and your TomTom can't direct it's way out of paper bag, who else you going to call?)
On a positive I haven't stopped sweating since my return and I have the smell of ammonia in my nose = the fat furnace has been ignited
Welcome MK. Hit the button! I met another couple of lads on the sportive today who are also doing Ely.They have done it before though & said it's a fantastic event.
Sounds to me like you will want adding to the IMUK 2013 list as well. Need to get your order in for you pirate Monaco
I havent got the plan saved anywhere emailable i'm afraid. It's all in my callendar on the ipad.
I've basically halved the the times in the training plans from Don Finks competitive full IM program. From week 19 as i had 11 weeks to train
Although my swimming will be an hour 3 times a week. I've also increased the bike sessions so they are 75% less than the full IM plan. I've also had to juggle a few things due to holidays & other events, like todays.
Looking at your impressive times, your miles ahead of me anyway.
I was 16 stone 1lb in January. 14 now, it soon drops off
MoK - generally we've bought the book BUT if you google Don Fink training plans in xls , you should get some hits for the plan in spreadsheet format... Generally they're embedded in another forum - I have found and downloaded the competitive plan previously and have converted it to open doc format ... And welcome btw
Hot as hell weekend over here. Did 80 on the IMKY bike course yesterday and bonked badly. Hydration sucked! But they call it training for a reason. Did a 5.4 mile run this morning on very tired legs. So humid out there as well!
Reduced my gel intake today & cut out the sweets so i didnt feel like vomiting after 70 miles.
Supped on sainsburys own ISO drink every 15 mins. had 1 gel after an hour. 2nd hour banana. 3rd hour gel, 4th hour banana, 5th hour flapjack. Job done, felt fine.

I hate to tempt fate .. but I will .. the tri forum seems relatively spam free for some strange reason?
Someone say spam
I like the decals with the skull and crossbones, where did you get those done?

I've been bad this week. Have managed a lot of eating and drinking, no swimming, about an hour on the bike and about 30 miles running
I managed 12 miles today, does that make me an angel ??
Double my impromptu interval training... You starting your taper then?
Cant afford the speed fill. Birthday next month though although i may go for an aero bottle that fits between the bars.
Cheers Spoons. Wouldnt worry, we all have off weeks.
Ive been stuck on 14 stone for 4 weeks now. I've eaten a fair few pizzas & had a couple of biscuit binges
I've been really good with the booze though, not had any alcohol since March.
M...eldy an Angel.... that made me laugh
