I'm sure somebody said there were loos on the way round - or did I imagine that?
Tired of eating carbs already - there's food left over from a training course here in our kitchen at work, quiche, sausage rolls, cheese, tomatoes, fruit pies, cakes and crisps. and I can't eat any of it, am tucking into another round of jam sandwiches instead.
Doesn't your body turn any spare carbs into fat to store anyway? By eating normally and doing less training I think I automatically start carbo loading (or putting on weight?) I will eat bananas and drink sports drinks whilst travelling Sunday morning.
I don't want to turn it into fat, I just want to keep my glycogen stores topped up. I avoid fats and proteins and bulky veg as these fill you up too much, and just replace those with more carbs, so calorie wise I'm not eating any more than usual.
You do automatically top up your glycogen stores when you cut your training, but I still have to run tonight - have to take my group out.

I will be visiting Draycote Water from 11am on Sunday. A few clubmates and I will be meeting there for a training run (arranged tonight).
Will it be possible to run around the lake whilst the race is on or is it closed off for the race? No worries if not as one of the guys knows some routes heading away from there, but just thought it'd be nice to jog around and cheer you guys on as you whizz past us.
So long as we don't get misguided "friendly" peeps trying to urge us to go faster. I have never gone this far before and the last thing I want is to go too fast at the wrong time. Would your friends appreciate 200m runners next to them when out for a 5 miler?
Also how does this alter the health and safety aspect of the event? It could even jeapordise its future.
Draycote Water has wide paths and you will find other runners out any weekend. Also cyclists, walkers, roller bladers etc., if the weather is nice. Should be no problem passing in opposite direction Rene.
Race info says we pick up numbers on the day, and as they need to count our laps I'm sure we will be wearing numbers. Local paper tells about the race and says spectators will be welcome. I personally hope to get support from members of Rugby A.C.who say they will pop by during the day. No pacing of course, just a cheery word and some moral support. The more the merrier.

Silly question (1): Would that be hazardous though? (Guess that depends on how wide the paths are)
