Just to check Ian- you did say there would be a table for 50k runners to leave their own drinks, yes? Have you got any final instructions/ info? Excited now....
Ian has the final update been put out yet? If so can you point me in the right direction so I can check I'm on the list before I confirm my hotel booking?
Yeh, let's go. Heading off mid afternoon tomorrow after a little family get together. Hip creaking so may be a slow canter around the race course. See you there Jason
Looking forward to this now: 'just' the half for me. In our hotel in Durham for the weekend. This'll be my first race over 10k in 3.5 years, due to work, a baby, and other focus (i.e. triathlons). My first race with the little one watching, so want to make it a good 'un.
Good luck to everyone. Fingers crossed the weather holds!
Great event Ian, massive well done to all involved and I'll be back. For the record, I was okay with the wind when it was helping but I'd appreciate it if you could sort something out when it's in your face for next year please
Superb event Ian, straightforward, well organised and fantastically tough marshalls to stand in that wind all that time. Perhaps a foot of snow would add to the excitement next year.
Great to see you Jason, hope you get back home in a reasonable time. My journey on the M1 was grim but home now and beer in hand

Exciting, isn't it?

Nice low key event, was it really windy - YES. Gave my personal thanks to those out in the wind, Jim et al.
Blimey Neil, give us a chance
It's less than an hour since the last runner finished.
They are being done today, but can't promise they'll be on the website tonight.
certainly tomorrow, though.
Thanks to everyone who took part and for all the kind comments. If you want it on again next year, let me know and I'll have showers available too.
I really spoil you
I'm going for a lie down now.
Well done Ian. Got to say that the tech shirts and the medals were great too
Showers would be nice though- I am sitting in the Departures lounge in the airport picking salt off from behind my ears
Ian, just get rid of the wind
Sorry Terry, it's my macrobiotic diet

Great race Ian many thanks and please reprise next year minus the wind please. Maybe add another mid year and make it a series?
I'll be back!
Thanks for letting me in at the last, appreciated.
Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant event, as always.
Very well done to all the runners and to the organisers and supporters.
NE Marathon Club rocks.
Showers (and less wind) would make this just about the perfect club winter race I reckon.
