haven't managed to get in a run today, ended up volunteering at parkrun instead of running! odd jobs and house cleaning in anticipation of my parents moving in next week for most of the day. 1.5 hours planned for the morning though, and a kit dress rehearsal, as part of Portsmouth Coastal Marathon taper.
Thanks to everyone on here thats voted for me so far, its all gone a bit political now, but I'm astounded at the amount of votes i have got
cheers guys
Why is it getting political?
Probably the wrong choice of word?, i meant political campaign-y, with everyone in a 'vote for me' frenzy (including me!) Its not quite so frantic now though.
I don't know about you but doing that for long enough makes me feel kind of uncomfortable (although that might be just due to sitting at the computer for too long, )
dont think you are, you are keeping about the same amount ahead of all the time! I m sure you will be able to get even more support at school tomorrow ?
Morning Maxs Mum Are you having a good Sunday? Ive just run a slow 10 miler, pace pace pace and now its time for the crimbo tree
Good luck this week, it probably will get more political as the week goes on. Tough in comp where there are no viewable t&C's. Anyway, pop over anytime for a cuppa.
Hi Tim, yes been out for a slow 1.5 hours this morning. just about managed around 7.5 - 8 miles i think. Got in some nice heath running - very Autumn-y, lots of people out with their dogs this morning so Max had to keep stopping to say hello.
Not getting the crimbo tree up until after next weekend, as we are moving my parents down here next week, Friday 13th to be exact - uh oh!
luckily not too many longish runs left before Portsmouth.
No point in assuming anything at this point though, it could all change by tuesday, don't forget, we were told there's everything still to play for and the votes were only an indication?
Many thanks Tiny Runner, It has all been most entertaining so far and certainly I am encouraged by all the local support I have received, let alone the online support!
Thanks literatin
Gareth i was thinking the same thing whoever wins it will be interesting to follow.
I was thinking if I don't win I may enter anyway, or if not perhaps the north dorset marathon, which I ran in a relay team this year.

You are getting plenty of support. You'll take it right at the end with a guess. I'm out of ideas now and people.

Friday 13th......moving......parents.....
Just checked the recipes for disaster book and found 'moving parents' there on page 13.
Have fun with that one.
And the really exciting thing is they are moving in with us !
Bless em, they can't really cope on their own anymore and I couldn't cope anymore with the 4 hour motorway trip if anything goes wrong.
Should make for an interesting crimbo
Oh well - you are catching me really quickly now. The crowd are on the pitch - they think it's all over....
It is now...
Gareth
Not till Tuesday it isn't, mustn't count chickens and all that. . . .
That's one huge surge today Denise, you've just edged ahead! You've got a lot of support locally, good luck
She has indeed - 40 votes in 20 minutes - amazing catch up.
Well done Denise.
Gareth
And 70 or so votes in the past two hours.

I thought it's completely based on votes, it's the only factor in the decision? You've done well today, people have woken up and started voting!!
Ah well it was fun while it lasted!
I am now back in second place, not enough campaigning obviously
I see we have until 12 lunchtme tomorrow, but Gareth is pulling ahead again.
Its all been very exciting!
Keep the faith! Nice thread so far, very engaging. You've got my vote .
you got my home vote and my work vote.
Good luck Denise - we are all winners in the end by being in the final 19 and by keeping ourselves fit and healthy through running.
Whoever gets through out of every category will be worth following.
Gareth
Thanks literatin

Are you on twitter? Will get something re-tweeted for you (not that I have many followers but hey, every little helps)
I re-tweeted you! Though I haven't tweeted anything for ages so my followers probably all think I'm dead. Or DNFed.
Fab. Will also re-tweet but Lit's re-tweet is worth way more as she is well cooler than me. I've never DNFed though .
Haha, I think Denise already has more followers than both of us put together, Tiny!
