'Cept I'm not new, I've been here since 2007...image

  • Oh. Is this the award for best newcomer now?

  • And +1 means you are voting for yourself. Stop rigging the election.

  • I swear I read "new" in the title!

Oh well, as you were then, I humbly accept your nomination, thanks image

  • Actually it's name your award. So it could be best newcomer or anything you want.

  • Probably didn't explain this well enough!

I was thinking that eveyone would make up their own "award" and who they think the deserved recipient is...

  • Like for "stubbornness in the the refusal to f*ck off when offering to go" award goes to ...Karen Samuel

  • Or big dopey head award of the year goes to.......Any takers?

  • Can I suggest some categories?

    Biggest flounce?

    DF3/Mr I

    Services to outstanding detective work?

Sussex, for helping to weed out "she who cannot be named".

    Creator of best nickname?

    PP for "Scotch Eggington".

  • I'm getting all emotional now G. Cheers mateimage

  • That's along the lines of what I was thinking! Carry on...

  • We used to have "best avatar" (and we used to have actual prizesimage)

  • Best non number recognition award should go to that bloke with his number 111 - that he said - was 'just a series of lines'.

Well Nick Windsor actually has a big, dopey head on his avatar so must be a contender. Other than that I'm not naming names  image

  • Avatar I was my favourite. Hang on..they haven't make the sequel yet???

    Oh yes! image

BTW Sussex, what am I being nominated for, gobbiness? image

  • Most hot air: Samir?

Most helpful Forumites: Cougie and Fat Buddha.

  • "Most optimistic marathon time" - Samir

"Biggest weekly increase of mileage from a 5k parkrun to 100 miles" - Samir

"Most use of the 'C' word" - Samir

"Throwing toys out of the pram most times" - Scott

"Most unoriginal excuses used for not racing" - Samir

"The need to keep repeating the same old tosh over and over" - Scott

  • How about " failure to re-invent the wheel" award? Who would we "pin" this award to?

  • I dispute your biggest flounce. Holgs put in a pretty good bid for that one too.

  • And how about that Stu from the Floodies/Floppies spam thread? That was once hell of a flounce, I think there were probably tears and everything image

  • Covert spammer of the year would be very contentious. Kitchens of Bolton/Liverpool etc wouldn't be in the running

  • Angriest response after being caught out for getting your mates to write glowing reviews about your shop/ product.

Either that bloke from the outdoors store (floodies) or the eventclip guy.

    Oops slight xpost with above.
  • The "nameless coward award" goes to David Falconer

  • FB- I still remember your good advice telling me that food at the Grande Hotel in Eastbourne was a bit crap. I ate there anyway and realised you were rightimage

You two almost always reply to the newbies and give really helpful friendly advice rather than just pissing on them.

Well Popeye, who actually ran Floodies, did eventually apologise, it was his mate Stu that went batshit crazy. I can't remember the other member of the threesome but it was all very emotional - I bet they all tell each other how much they love each other when they're drunk image
