Have you had it looked at? Could've bruised / cracked a rib?
Paperman, sounds like it's you, me and Effing then - I'll keep an eye out for you but I'm doing the Olympic.
CW, I use a 2XU tri suit (can't remember the model but was their top end one with compression) and has a super comfy chamois and saves time in transition. Has been great at IM distance and during a Swimrun event.
I'm another who is going for the change in tent during transition thing. Deciding on my kit choices is worrying me more than the actual event. I hope black is still in fashion this year.
Comfiest shorts I've ridden in so far have been my LG Pirate tri shorts. Though my new club bib shorts seem good too, so might be tempted to wear those for Outlaw depending on how they cope with further long rides
Only done one long distance but changed into bike shorts & jersey in T1 then change again into running shorts & top T2 Comfort & clean kit my priority. Extra time is minimum in the scheme of my long day out on course
Anyone know if separate men & ladies change areas at Outlaw ? As I'll be doing full kit change again
Not great tbh. Sore but ok for running and turbo. Haven't been out on the bike and definitely couldn't swim. Still thinking about getting an x-ray just so I know whether cracked.
All well here, thanks. Swim and bike v solid (better than ever in fact) and run volume building up. Just trying not to get injured again so taking it carefully.
Just been thinking about nutrition and trying to get a plan together for that. Any top tips?
Well that was an interesting introduction to OWS, once I manned up to the occasion I was quite happy, but didn't sight as much as I should of and let's just say I took the scenic route. Work in progress
Outlaw swim at least gives you the edges of the lake to guide you. Doesn't mean you don't wander, but at least you can't head 45 degrees off the route for a while as I managed in London once!
Half IM in training session today. Let's call the transitions "relaxed" but all on track to be in PB shape on the big day. Just need to not get injured now. Anyone do outlaw half today?
Still not right unfortunately. Wee bit uncomfortable running, especially if pushing it. Cycling ok but sticking to turbo just now. Not swam which is not good. Might give it a go this week as can't afford to miss more time.
Ok there are two posts for this, I just posted in the other one but does anyone fancy a pirate feast the night before to say hello and put names to faces? Must be somewhere in town that does good PASTA!!!
Got a little bit behind with training had a week and a bit away. Done a bit of running a little swimming but no biking. Done a good 80 miles today on the bike though with well over 4000 ft of climbing. Ave speed 15.5 mph.
Next weekend will be the cotswolds 113, will be interesting must remember to sight. Anyone else going along thankfully I'm in wave 7.

Yup, there is a men's full change area and a women's full change area

Thanks mate. It does seem slightly better but still not near ready I don't think.
How are you getting on?

Looking forward to another epic Pirate weekend up at Outlaw after Lanza this weekend just gone.
Up for a run and/or bike if any other relay teams are in need?
Ask me at about 3pm that afternoon....
Nice work. Good to hear training going well.

Still agony if I sneeze.

I posted in the wrong thread, is anyone doing a charity place for cancer research Uk and how much do they ask you to raise
I'm up for a pirate meeting the night before.
Hahahaha - we just go down to the pub down the road from HPP - turn up at Pirate tent HQ and you'll be dragged along. Where are you staying then?

Pirate meet the night before was great last year - first time I met some of you! Definitely up for that again. Good luck at the 113, Wolf!
Best have my running gear on then
