    Morning. This will be the last post from me for a while. Home PC is going back to the garage and the bod's at the IT department don't like me using the internet at work.

    Its funny, feels like I am loosing a friend !!

    Yes Hippo, I don't know how you managed it! I did 4.5 miles this morning - first run after Sunday's 20 miler and I felt like lead! I probably wouldn't have been much good if I had made it to the track last night!

    What: 3m easy at lunchtime

    Why: need to take it easy this week after increasing mileage last week and getting bad blisters. Today I don't seem to have huge holes in my feet anymore although they're still a bit sore so I hope I'll be okay for 3m.

    lovely and sunny today, bit cold though.
    Did 70mins of steady running last night which really loosened up my legs.

    What: Circuit training (but will take it easy on shuttles or any running)
    Why: continuing my rehabilitation after Sunday.

    I had tough session last night - five miles then hill reps then home. But I managed it - tired but happy today. Last run tonight before the Glorious Weekend Off begins. Last big blow out before FLM.

    What: 9M easy pace first thing; ~8M incorporating, 1k @ 10k race pace, 200m jog, 400m @ 3k race pace, 400m jog - repeat 5 times.
    Why: Get some mileage in and do another quality 'Smashy' session ;-)
    Last hard run: Sunday - thought it was going to be Tuesday, but everyone including 'our fearless leader' was knackered, so we did a steady one.
    Last rest day: Friday.

    I keep finding that Jj - my club handicap times differ by about 20 seconds each time I do them. I am two speed birdy - very slow, slightly less slow!

    Morning all. Oh, I was all excited, I knew the lyrics straight away .. but BR got there first.

    Legs feel suprisingly good after triple session yesterday, but the rest of me... oh woe! Drank a bottle of beer last night, one I hadn't tried before ... and like many bottled beers, I was allergic to it. So feel awful today, swollen face and joints but have taken some Zirtec so hopefully will manage my run this evening .

    Morning - there's so much impressive training going on in here as always (still bowled over by Matt's & Hippo's ultras.)
    What: speedwork taking it up in 1/2 mph increments for 1 min with 30 sec recoveries (peaked at 6.4 min miling but couldn't hold it for long be4 stepping back down in increments).
    Why: Thursday = speed day (ahem)

    Enjoyed my speed session yesterday. Didn't go quite to plan, had to take it a little slower on the finally reps as felt ill.

    Looks like being a over a 30 mile week for the first time in ages. Things are getting better.
