ironwolf - it is indeed! Here the powers that be decided recently that devolvement was the new way to run a business, so all the previously centralised services like personnel, campus card production, student registration, IT support etc was devolved to the faculties. In about 5 years time somebody will have the bright idea to centralise everything to make it more efficient.....
phoenix you're absolutely right, we're already way down that rocky road, and believe me, the more you centralize, the more automation you need, the more cuts in staff and budget there are, and the worse everything gets. Don't get me started on that! I'm going for a run and forget about HR - catch up with you later.
Rooftops (some flat with puddles so I can tell JUST how hard it's raining), some church spires, and I can just about see the river. There are houses and hills beyond, but its raining so hard I can't see them.
It's heaving down here too. I suppose it's a good day to be stuck in the work 'tomb'. At least my little onion sets and garlic cloves are being well watered and will grow strongly - if they are not washed away!
look left I can see the front garden and houses beyond, look right I can see the back garden complete with bushes dripping with rain.
Yes you have guessed I am at home, temporally unemployed, due to being made redundant. I am so jealous of you lot at work, still, one consolation is that I can run whenever I like.
Sorry got distracted by shiny new car now sat on the drive. Just to answer V-rap I hopefully have another 30 yrs (or so) to try and achieve my goal of completing the FLM (I will not do another marathon before that one!). However there is only one opportunity to be at the birth of my next child, NO CONTEST.
I see the BP petrol station and the A1. However, just out of sight is my lunch time 4 mile countryside loop around the lanes. a 31 minute PB for me today. The rain held off. The power shower at work was great. The beef curry and rice in the restaurant was very tasty (extra poppodoms for me). I didn't succumb to the jam roly poly, and I'm looking forward to seeing my fella this evening. Life is good.
I can see Sheffield United Football Ground. And some very old decrepit workshops. There is a bit of green in the distance behind a council housing estate. Hey hang on - it's just got interesting - there's a man on a roof! At least it's not raining.
JJ, I hope I haven't insulted your dress! Very nice blue anyway! I bought one of those dri-fit long sleeve tops you had on at Kingston and wore it on the Cabbage Patch 10 on Sunday, got a pb so it's a magic top now Thanks for the tip off!

Don't be jealous - make the most of it. And run, run, run
Thanks, I will make the most of it as work could be just around the corner,
suppose I should get my housework done,
nah it can wait............
Housework can always wait (unless, of course, your mother is coming to visit ... aghhhhh
Rain stopped, clouds moving very quickly indeed - and the very occasional glimpse of sun ... it'll never last
Actually blue is my dress for bro no1 wedding, Wondered if anyone would notice :-)
