Ollie: Good to see you and you are still running;-)
I will third merino socks or even base layers
What 7.30 miles Why: because I can and the weather coming in is not nice. Last Hard: 7.3 miles of Welsh bouncing off the pavement torrential rain Lyrics: Yes Last rest 8/1
Boy oh boy that was cold and very wet!!
ALF: Always a little further Miles makes smiles. Progression
Hope the niggles are not worse due to the long run Ale.
LMH: No merino running socks at the moment for me, might be an idea to look for some as long as they are not too thick. I generally use Falke ones - a German company I believe, don't know if you can get them in the Uk. Hope you can get the short and easy done without too much pressure.
Lyrics - think so
What: group outing this evening Why: it is Tuesday Next hard: not going out at midday instead - fresh snow and sunshine! Last rest: Sunday
Morning chaps, didn't mention, have all been living at my parents last 10 days to 2 weeks, house got decorated, gloss wouldn't dry, curiosity turned to surprise to what's going on, decorator got on to paint company rep, appears it was a bad batch by a very well known paint company, had no drying chemical in it, the really well known brand has therefore paid for decorating of house as compensation. Living like a nomad. Took ten days to dry. Anyway, that on top of other things made life a bit upsy daisy recently along with a lot of travelling to other counties.
Took daughter running again at weekend. She likes it.
Welsh: Top miles there
LMH: Hope things ease off for you
Gobi: Keep it going
Hazel: Tennis rackets on feet
Ale: Good combo
Ollie: Hope you manage to get your 5 in, judging by the time of the post you will be tired
Wabo: Of course you know the lyrics
Dustin: Good schedule tonight, get them turned!
Regarding the Merino wool, remember Selina Scott offof Breakfast telly in the 80s, she lives near(ish)by to here and now has her own line of wool socks she makes, has a farm of woolly beasts she breads to shear and make socks. That's one off the Where Are They Now? list.
What: Just heading out now, think ony 6, taekwondo tonight
Why: Get out
Lyrics: Hell yes, thumbs up to Olliepop, I got one
I usually wear thin socks Hazel and whilst my merino ones are a little thicker they are still comfortable. Inov8 are my current favourite, don’t know if Falke do them (too expensive for me!).
Aren’t they a bit short for marathon training Dustin?
That seems very late Gobi. I take it you’ll be extending your season?
Rain has started here now Poppy but I was fortunate enough to have a dry run.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
Falke socks aren't cheap LMH I agree. Pretty long lasting though and I very rarely get blisters. +1 to merino base layers but they can also be bloody expensive. Please send me a piece of that cake - sounds delicious...
Glad the house is sorted Benjy. Nice that you can share running with your daughter. I remember watching Selina Scott on breakfast telly before going to school - years ago in that case... Interesting what she is doing these days.
Nice intervalls yesterday RFJ.
9 miles on the track does sound hard Dustin.
Doing something interesting tonight then emzap? (s. lyrics...)
Nice progressive miles Wabo and Gobi.
WP I like the idea of Welsh torrential rain - is it worse than Scottish?
Definitely take care on the snow and ice everyone who is affected.
What: Plan says intervals but it is very windy. Postponed that and will do 6 miles with some strides (and find somewhere sheltered) Why: I hate wind and speedwork.. Last hard: spotting the icy patches in the dark last night - everyone stayed upright though. Last rest: Sunday
