Morning.
Lyrics - When the train rolls by
I'm gonna be ready this time
Is the weather forecast to improve for the marathon OH?
Another nice morning here though not as bright a start as yesterday. I'd like to make the most of it but I'm a little tired and MiL and I are planning some time working in the garden later (I use the term loosely, I think I shall mostly be watching her transplant runner beans once I've transported them from hers to ours) so I'd best keep a little something in reserve. As ever I shall see how I feel once I get going.
What: easy miles, probably short
Why: see above
Last hard: getting the balance right with MiL
Last rest: 14/6
Yesterday's lyrics - Born In The USA - Bruce Springsteen
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.

WP faster! That's great. How's the hay fever?
Dustin you're mad (please eat some cake for me )
Swimming felt good. Was out of breath and had to rest every 2 lengths, but I can swim as before so made me feel a bit more normal.
Kitchen is going to go on for at least another week. New challenge, no cook/prep diabetic friendly meals! I'm not making things easy for myself!
Have a great day all

Progression
Sounds like another packed weekend Wabo.
Hope it isn't too muggy for your intervals Dustin.
Sounds positive Alehouse.
Hope the forecast is correct then OH.
Taper going well then Poppy.
I don't like gardening in the slightest and have been Mijacked (hijacked by MiL) again this morning as she's now invited herself for lunch. I have decided to try to take the view that she much enjoy my company...............
Glad the hayfever is under control, poppy. I usually don't suffer but very strangely came back from today's run with a super runny nose and red eyes. Weird. I ran in the parkrun park. Wondering if there's some strange plant in there that I don't get along with.
Em: Glad you can do some swimming and walking. Finding food suitable for someone who's pregnant and diabetic without access to a kitchen sounds quite a challenge.
Please keep the heat, Dustin. I don't want it back
Enjoy the concert, wabo.
What: 16.25 miles
Why: I wanted a weekend without a long run looming so decided to get up early and cram this in before work
Last hard: getting up and convincing myself to go out. Once I was out I loved it. 15 degrees, breezy and a slight drizzle. Brilliant!
Last non-running day: 30/6
Lyrics: yes
What do you have planned for the weekend then chicksta? MiL's plans didn't really fit with mine but on the other hand I wasn't doing anything I couldn't do at a different time.
I looked a bit similar here this morning, OH. Sky is a lighter shade of grey now and it has stopped raining.
Scan shows baby is big so lots of extra monitoring needed. Midwife who was giving me dietary advice was rather on the large side (I reckon at least 20 stone) so was a rather interesting experience (do you drink sugary drinks? No, do you eat white bread and pasta? No etc). Anyway, back on Tuesday for diabetes specialists.
Chick well done getting your long run out of the way.
Oh that's pretty grey.
Lmh we've had a lot of salad, I just like a bit of variety as well. Am also allergic to a lot of raw things which is a bit of a pain. Have now got a fridge full of cottage cheese, salad, avos and hummus. At least they're good to snack on!
I do find it difficult when very overweight nurses give dietary advice emzap. lots of variations with salad - we had chickpea and cashew last night, I'm planning a hot potato and smoked mackerel one for next week and fried halloumi for tomorrow.
Hazel that is hot again. Cooling down here tomorrow!
