Tuesday 5th November 2019 Come closer, come closer and listen

Morning!

Lyrics: Come closer, come closer and listen
The beat of my heart keeps on missing

What: long stretch and short run

A very wet bonfire day: hopefully the title of today's tune is appropriate
Progress is rarely a straight line. There are always bumps in the road, but you can make the choice to keep looking ahead.

  • Have a nice bonfire day everyone.

lol to yesterday's date mishap emzap.  I didn't notice either.

I would love that beach OH.  LMH's sounds nice as well (dolphins..)

Sounds like you have a plan there chamolk.  Can't be long until you start base training.

    What: rare Tuesday lunch run
Why: cheese fondue with my Tuesday group this evening and no run beforehand
Last hard: more telegym this morning - 15 mins of cross country skiing related exercices. I am crap at anything regarding coordination. (probably why I am also crap at cross country skiing!)
    Last rest: yesterday

    Lyrics: no

  • Morning.

No Bonfire Night here fortunately though we do have the possibility of a thunderstorm this afternoon- I do love to watch those over the sea from the comfort of the balcony 😊

chamolk - we started to do the late warm holiday four years ago and find it really good to have it to look forward to and to see us through the worst of the winter.

Fondue evening sounds nice Hazel, we are planning one too as there is a chain of fondue restaurants here that are great for gf.

How are your legs after yesterday’s longer run Alehouse?

    Enjoy club night Dustin.

My left knee and my quads are are a little unhappy after a four mile walk along the beach yesterday afternoon- the camber was bad and the sand very soft. Unfortunately by the time we realised that we were unable to get back to the road (lots of imposing houses with private beach access and no trespassing signs) we were two miles out and had no choice but to turn round and walk it back. Not sure how they will respond when asked to run but it’s plenty warm enough to walk in running kit at 0630hrs so it doesn’t matter too much.

    What:          Hopefully short and easy
    Why:            I enjoy it
Last hard:    Walking the beach yesterday
    Last rest:     2/11

    Lyrics - no.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
  • Morning,

Live each day as if it was your last  give it all you have to reap the rewards.

Hazel - probably start the base training next week. Enjoy the fondue

A bit like your walk LMH, my glutes were a little stiff after my walk yesterday - was pretty brisk with 450 feet of climbing, but could already feel them tired before the run last night.

What - no run today. Maybe some core work and stretching

Lyrics - no, even with the clue

Eeek, OH - sorry to hear that (green face).

    Hazel: Oh yummy, cheese fondue.

Poppy: Bargain price for running shoes. Well done.

LMH: Holiday sounds lovely. I love dolphins too. Never been to Siesta Key but to Sarasota and Anna Maria Island which are nearby, I think.

Somehow I forgot to post yesterday. So yesterday was a 5 mile run.

What: 7.5 miles including some steady hills
Why: plan said crosstraining and I figured hills are just that
Last hard: staying upright on the Sunday's trails
    Last rest: 27/10
    Lyrics: no
  • Now waiting for ferry ...
  • That does not sound pleasant OH hope you are soon feeling better.

chicksta - we are only a few miles from Sarasota at the quiet end of Siesta Key.

    Exciting times Wabo.

I always say that none of us know what we’re going to get until the day with a marathon chamolk. You can have the best of prep and a rubbish day.

Legs were happy to run after a short walk so another six miles for me this morning, don’t really feel I can stay out much longer and am just ticking over at the minute so it doesn’t really matter. It’s the sunniest hottest day so far and the thunderstorms have disappeared from the forecast so we are planning a trolley bus/walking adventure after lunch.
If you think you can or you think you can't you're probably right.
