I think I came in about 22/23rd. Initialy I was dissapointed with my time of 43+, as I did it in sub 40 a couple of years ago, until someone told me that the course had been extended since then.
The first of many?
A nice day out and an unusual Saturday morning run but it was top stuff and great views. Does the lead runner want to take a chainsaw with him next year and cut down those damned stiles?!

Mind you she also told me that she'd sort out the teams as she did the results. I said thankyou very much and cycled off into the midday sun. It was on my cycle home that I realised that there was no mention of teams when I filled in the form. So how she's going to sort out the teams I don't know. Unless she can tell from a signature.

I finished in 58:13ish. I have to admit to stopping my watch for a few seconds at the first style. I don't know what I was thinking - it's just instinct to stop the watch when I stop for whatever reason. I forgot that in races time marches on regardless!
I didn't see any forumites there but from those who've already posted I see we wouldn't have necessarily bumped into each other.
Now get back to work stinging people for VAT and stop getting lost on training runs!
Chalfont St Giles is cockney rhyming slang for piles.
As in "Ello me old china, the old Chalfonts is giving me a bit of jip"
By the way, nearly didn't finish due to the bulldozer at about 8k suddenly doing a right turn. I had a right turn I can tell you!
More importantly Mrs S had a good time and has now committed to the Amersham 5. I may have started something!
Very proud of my 161st place though.

I don't want to post my address in case it gets picked up by a web trawler and I start getting more spam than I already do.
Would one of the others whose addresses are already posted here mind if I emailed you for the results?
Sezzy, how did you get them from Vic in the first place? Was there a way of ordering them or do you have contacts among the organisers?
Vic emailed me the results. He has my address as I'd emailed him about the event before the day. His email address is listed in the organiser details of the event itself so why not email him direct?
